Currently playing on a 60hz 13.3 inch laptop screen and having trouble with long distance fights.
Thinking of upgrading to 24.5 inch 240hz
I'm silver 2
Do you think its worth it or should i just grind deathmatch and get better

i mean when i was silver my big jump was when my dad got me a 240 hz monitor and a pc that could get those frames, went from iron to gold 3 in one act and steadily pushed forward, i u think it's worth it i do to cause that was how i started getting good
you will 1000% get better at the game and win more fights if you get a new monitor with 240hz AND grind dms
A monitor, even a 60hz one is a big upgrade over a laptop screen (as someone who plays on a laptop plugged into an external monitor). Are you reaching 240 fps? Otherwise that 240hz may not be worth
240hz is overkill for a laptop, ur laptop is going to die trying to run that shit and personally id prioritize OLED monitors than a high refresh rate on a monitor, so something like 165hz OLED monitor would be more than enough for u imo.
Upgrade your laptop.
If your laptop has a 60hz screen I doubt it's capable of running valorant at 240fps+ consistently

I doubt his laptop can even run valorant at 165hz
depends, I was bronze for 2years stopped playing for 2years(50hz or some), got back with a 144hz laptop and currently g3 as instalock omen; grinding dm does help but really depends on your specific problem; the extra frames will help but not as much as you think unless its a very bad build
What are your laptop specs?
I had an RTX 2060 laptop up until very recently and I could not reach 240hz anywhere (sometimes in Valorant)
So if your specs aren't that impressive you should aim for a good 144-165Hz screen instead, it's still a pretty big jump from 60Hz
edit: I think this unreal engine 5 upgrade does make valorant very very easy to run tho so if this game is your only priority then fuck it I guess

yea tbf i also think 165hz is a bit much but it does leave room for improvement when he decides to either get a desktop pc or just a better laptop.
My laptop has a ryzen 7 5850u and 32 gb ddr4, integrated graphics
It usually hits 200fps but later I will be upgrading to a PC.

Yeah that iGPU in the 5850U is not exactly the most impressive one nowadays
This thing won't be hitting any good fps numbers in any other game so wait until you get a better PC to get a 240hz monitor imo
i was almost diamond1 on 60hz then my laptop died and i quitted for 7 months and came back with new laptop 144hz and now m immortal 2 in 3 months
i was almost immo2 on 3hz then my smart refrigerator died and i quitted for 3 years and came back with new ipad 12hz and now m vct circuit in 3 days
