Prize pool matters for org and players
Must on top priority for orgs
people are so mad calling it mickey mouse just because their favorite team lost 😭😭 the cope on this forum is INSANE
my favourite team didn't even make it to ewc. they were never close to making to an international event
It is for valorant standards. We are talking about val here not cs. This is vlr not hltv. Can you imagine there being a single elimination playoffs and bo3 finals in champs in val? If that happened in val everyone would be calling it a mickey mouse event.
nothing wrong with single elim its playoffs every match should have high stakes
Other than cs u can just play a one and done and win the map, and bam a prx lost to a blg or pretty much any team u can insert there
Micky Mouse bo1 to bo3's to qualify to playoffs??
Are we crazy that bo1's get sent to the lower bracket??
Yeah bro so true
I would rate EWC higher if they had open qualifiers that includes T2 teams but hey franchise league is the only one matters right, Leo Faria?
if your tournament has bo1s it's not a serious tournament, throwing oil money around doesn't change that
-G2 playing with a sub
-SEN tired and just experimenting with comps
-TH just figuring it out
-GENG working on mental before stage 2
Yeah, looks like no one of the good teams actually care so its mickey
also, crazy for sneaking TH into “good teams” but i respect it
If you are given a chance to compete for a million dollars would you just throw the game?
it is mickey mouse. but i do think especially for big orgs, it is more important than the vct. it is only important for players if their orgs arent giving them high salary, but there is no prestige or champs points to get here.
I think that its probably as competitive as a group stage, but not to the level of a masters or a regional GF. Most of these orgs are also the more well off orgs in their region too so I don't think they are going to try as hard as a team like EG would.
The only teams who have an actual reason to try as hard as they can are Sen and FNC, but that's so they are more likely to win an award then for the money.
