Stop playing the game like a normal person and do as much damage as possible nothing else matters for mmr it's so ass I think we just get rid of mmr and have a set amount for wins and losses per rank imo

nah mmr is fine, the real issue is ACS as a metric for how much RR you gain. mmr adjusts over games, if you perform great for like 3 games in a row you'll start gaining way more RR from wins.

meanwhile ACS heavily favors duelists and encourages a high risk play style. you could play perfectly as a sentinel/initiator/controller and gain nothing because you didn't farm kills

Idk mmr feels incredibly based on acs and for some reason mmr literally will not change for me like the past two acts before this I've been at like a 0.8 kd like 170 acs and my mmr would never change

yeah that's what I meant, mmr as an overall system is fine but it shouldn't value ACS so highly

Yeah this is why I mentioned about just dealing damage because acs is purely based on how much damage you do more or less I don't think it's a very good system but it is what it is

yeah, duelists are very favored to increase their MMR because their ACS will always be higher even if you have same kills with them because they have better ADR. also they have more abilities that help them in micro when taking duels

but if you play supportive roles like init and smokes, your abilities help the team macro a lot more but it won't give you an advantage in duels mostly. in fact you can make the right decisions and pick a good fight but then enemy jett who is caught in an off angle just dash away from you and get more chances to get better duels and have better encounter MMR

also duelists can literally go 15/22 but they'll get more RR than you who went 15/14 because his ADR is better even though maybe he picked a lot of stupid fights and lost your team a couple rounds

the reason why I quit val and started playing cs again is because I would always lose more RR than win it even though I have been immo in every month I played since like late 2023 so it doesnt make sense for my MMR to be lower than immo when I am mostly ranked immo

and it wasnt like I was getting boosted, I always had 1.00+ kd playing 95% of the time soloQ (post february 2025 doesnt count because I only launch the game when im tired of cs now)

i think it's also because cs has less directed roles. everyone kinda does everything (except maybo awping). in valo, there are set roles, an its kinda hard to do that with the "limited" util people have.

yeah imagine lurking when you are the solo init in the team lol, if ur senti is dying lurking every round you are cooked, or if your duelist cant create space for you in t its over
