I've recently finished The Rise of Kyoshi and am currently reading The Shadow of Kyoshi. I've been enjoying reading lately and would like some other book recommendations for after I finish The Shadow of Kyoshi. Btw, I recommend both of these books to anyone that loves Avatar: The Last Airbender.

good for you for trying to get back into reading, it’s super good for you at keeping your mind fresh.
manga def counts, there’s tons of manga with complex writing behind it but it’s always good to stick to a variety of stuff. you should try some light novels if you haven’t, they’re a good halfway point between manga and conventional literature and are made to be easily digestible. some of my favorites are “zaregoto” by nisio isin, and “the empty box and zeroth maria” (hakomari for short) by eiji mikage

100%. I went all in after reading Mistborn and started The Wheel of Time. Might have been a little over zealous since I had to take a break after book 5, before even reaching Sandersons books. I enjoyed it alot so far though.

LOL I did the same thing. The next like 6 books are really slow haha. But as soon as you reach Brandon Sanderson's part it pops off so hard and the series gets so much better.

Yeah I have! Multiple times actually haha. The Stormlight Archive is probably my favorite book series atm. However the first 2 books carry the series so far.

I would defs take a break from WOT but I don't know if you should start Stormlight Archive either because it is also a very long series. Maybe mix in a some sci-fi? I don't know that much about the sci-fi genre other than the Dune series but its pretty relevant rn.

I also love the Kingkiller Chronicles but that is a slow start and can be tough if you aren't an experienced reader.
i dont personally think its a struggle to start the kingkiller chronicles, i am completely hooked to the story and love everything about it; that and mistborn seem like the bestest
