Bad Brackets

After seeing the new LCQ bracket I really feel like whoever makes these brackets is new to sports/esports.

NA LCQ: XSET and 100T, likely the two best teams, are on the same side of the bracket

Masters Berlin: There's 4 groups and 4 EMEA teams, but lets put 2 EMEA teams in the same group amirite?

NA Challengers Playoffs: Yep, lets put the 2 #1 seeds on the same side of the bracket (SEN from Challengers 1 and TSM from Challengers 2)

Does nobody actually check these before they put them out or does the person in charge of making the brackets have some sort of workplace immunity to criticism or feedback?
Seriously imagine the NFL or NBA putting the two #1 seeds on the same side of the bracket. Imagine if LoL put the best 2 Chinese teams in the same group.
We use common sense in all these other e-sports and sports, but for some reason Valorant knows better or what?

about the 2 #1 seeds
I'd say the 2nd #1 seed is usually the 5th seed overall cuz they qualified thru 2nd challengers not in the first with 4 slots

I see how that one could be argued, so I didn't say anything at the time, but given the other brackets I really doubt that they actually followed a thought process to make it like that. More likely that they just threw darts at a board and picked the matchups that way.

for NA LCQ the matches are determined by the amount of circuit points they got. Because 100t was first out of the teams and second place is v1, they are on opposite sides of the bracket. After that is faze and xset, so faze is on v1 side of the bracket and xset is on 100ts side of bracket because they are the next two seeds. Thats why xset and 100t are on the same side of the bracket

The "simple point system" is not doing a good job of enabling good brackets. Can you honestly say that the LCQ bracket is balanced or that it makes sense to have multiple EMEA teams in the same group at Berlin?

Maybe they are stuck for now, but we can't complain about a bad system or what?

Yeah. You can’t just have Riot say “oh yeah 100T is best and XSET is 2nd best so that’s their seeds”. That’s ripe for bias and subjectivity. There’s gotta be some kind of point system or math involved, which is what circuit points is. Is it perfect? No, far from, but it’s better than Rito subjectively deciding which teams are best

Agreed you can't just say "oh yeah I think these are the 2 best teams", but I feel like the system is wrong.
Also, was putting multiple EMEA teams in the same group at Berlin decided by a point system?

they do the bracket 's for lcq by ciruit rankings so you can't complain as the teams had chances to earn more points its not random

This is the most braindead take I’ve ever seen. Do you not understand simple numbers? It’s literally based on your seeding from Circuit points, riot don’t just go yes 100t best team XSET second best team put them opposite side of bracket brrr. It’s so simple yet your 0head brain still can’t comprehend it
