first kinda sensible gc take i've seen from you hynix good job
however the reason most people perk up when gc criticism happens is because it quickly dissolves into just blatant sexist takes. i agree that gc players should be held to same standards as everyone else, but it's just in poor taste to continuously shit on a budding scene.
this isn't referencing ardiis tho, i think he's fine
The issue is that when it comes to "the reason most people become more engaged during discussions of GC, it often quickly devolves into just blatant sexist remarks" It doesn't matter whether it's a poorly designed course aimed at making money through drop shipping, or advice on relationships or fitness—there will always be misguided opinions and bad information out there. The real problem is that some individuals struggle to separate the person giving the advice from the advice itself. This inability to recognize the factors influencing someone's perspective is what keeps people stuck in negative attitudes. If you give someone advice and they respond with, "No, you're just an idiot," of course, you won't want to offer your advice again. This creates a self-perpetuating cycle of people responding in kind and therefore everyone stays ignorant.
