Riot announced mixed gender tournaments for offseason like a while ago and this is one of them

The two players they went for are mimi and Vania because one will bring viewers and the other will bring best firepower you can get in EMEA GC

They did, but this is a different tournament, this one is directly endorsed by Riot

So that’s why valyn has been playing sentinel as of late.

It's just some random mixed gender required off season tourney that doesn't matter. JonahP/Leaf will probably play in anything where they can use their actual squad.
