I feel bad because maybe I missed it in the twitlonger but... why did you ultimately quit Overwatch?

I lost passion for the game over time with new heroes that were added like Brig and more shield heroes. Felt like a lot of the enjoyment from dps characters kinda dipped away. When Valorant was announced it was a mix of CS and OW and I was a really big cs fan/player a while ago and liked the aspects of OW that were mixed in so I figured I'd try it out.

Since you went through OWL which was basically Blizzard's ultimate vision for esports, what do you fundamentally think they got right/wrong with regards to your experience as a player? What should Riot learn from OWL?

I think the idea for homestands was pretty good and interesting, but the overall global league aspect was rough. Players from every country having to go to one country for s1/2 was interesting and the travel schedule was going to be abysmal for season 3. I think Riot's franchise path where they have LCK LEC and LCS and other leagues split up by continent is already good.

were you confident in your ability to transition into valorant before you quit ow? or was OW not cutting it no matter what?

I was confident in myself transitioning from Overwatch to Valorant. I had practiced a lot on aim and bringing up my confidence. I would likely have quit OW in the future even if Valorant didn't come out because I didn't feel like I was in a good place mentally the past year or so.

What do you think is the worst thing added to Overwatch that is still in the game?

Phantom or Vandal?
What class do you plan to main in Valorant? (I bet its duelist)

I think the vandal is more fun to use because the headshots are super satisfying, but the Phatom overall is better and you'll get a lot more kills when you wouldn't with vandal.

I'm not really sure what class I'll "main" right now like I'm flexing to other roles for whoever's in my game. I play Brim, Omen, Sage, Sova, Cypher and Jett a lot at the moment

Honestly I have no clue what region will be dominant or if any at all, so many people are insane at the game in KR EU NA and other regions.

what is harder mechanically, overwatch or valorant?

#27

Valorant aim wise is a lot more punishing I'd say. If you miss your first few shots or if you lose focus you will get punished very hard. Overwatch you can be more lax during a lot of the times but theres still mechanically intensive moments, they just require different mechanics. OW is more ability based and Val is more aim and movement.

Not really a question but as a long time Dallas follower I would just like to say that I hope you do well in this game. I was always a fan and hated that you saw less and less playtime. You have the talent; all you need is the drive and I'm sure you will go far in this game too.

prefer csgo major or league franchise?

I think both have their benefits. I like both to be honest. CS major style is probably more hype than the franchise style but I don't really know what is better for the game.

Are you familiar with the way that Riot franchised League of Legends? If so, do you think it would be best for Riot to franchise VALORANT in the same way? Or do you think it should be more centralized like Overwatch's franchising, or even looser like CS:GO's loose third-party-centric scene?

I am familiar with LoL's franchise setup. I personally think their set up is good for League, but I'm not sure if it will mirror 1:1 with Valorant. It's hard to really say what the best will be for the game since it is so new but they should definitely try doing some major and loose third party style tournies like CS:GO does before moving to a franchise set up if they plan to.

If they do eventually franchise I think LoL's format is better than OWL.

Besides Valorant, is there another esport you would have liked to try and go pro in?

If it was in the present, not really. In the past I would have liked to try playing CS:GO or LoL

How do the remaining OWL players feel right now? Are they optimistic about the future of OW?

Honestly I have no clue. Every OWL player's perspective is very different. You'd have to ask them. Some are hopeful others not.

In OW the beta players that came from backgrounds like TF and Quake initially had an advantage and were a big part of the "top" players of the scene. Later on they were passed by a lot of players who either played OW as their first game or came from a nonFPS background.

Do you see the same thing happening in Valorant? Or is the game too similar to CSGO where CSGO players will always be on top?

#33

I think players with a CS:GO background definitely have an advantage, but there are a lot of players from different games that have been doing very well during the beta and even at launch of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if the pro scene has people from different backgrounds than just CS:GO

were your parents supportive of your esports career? or did they want you to pursue a college degree?

#34

My parents weren't super supportive initially but I had been playing for a while and eventually I had a real offer for Overwatch that was salaried. They basically let me pursue playing pro as long as I graduated from High School.

how much impact does your physical health have on your gameplay?

Physical health and Mental health are very important for gameplay. If your body is in pain or you cant focus because of things going on you will get distracted in game and lose focus. Staying fully focused is super important.

Mouse: Razer Viper Ultimate
Mousepad: Logitech g640
Sens: 800 dpi .35

most insane competitive match of your career?

Before you were pro, did you do anything when you had streaks of bad days in terms of aim. My mental gets really bad when I have a couple of bad aim days. I don't know if it's better to play through some of these days, or just chill and not play. One of my biggest problems is consistency. I just seriously don't know what to do when these days come around. (I don't ever change sens or mouse, since I heard that's not good.)

Do you think that CSGO player has more advantage in transition to Valorant compare to OW player? Since the aim and movement of CSGO are quite similar and OW is more ability base than just aiming?
