Part 2 of “best agent to climb” thread

I feel like I didn’t give enough info in the last thread I made, also ty to everyone for the replies.

I peaked asc 3 in episode 6 act 3 and episode 7 act 1 and then I didn’t play the rest of episode 7 and I began playing again at the end of episode 8 act 2. I am now back to the game. I mainly played fade when I peaked asc 3 so fade has kinda been my go to pick the majority of games. I’m currently in diamond 2 but my winrate is at 37% and I feel like I’m just stuck in a ditch. Most games people don’t talk or they tilt after pistol and I feel like I’m starting most games down a huge number of rounds. I also feel like fade is very out of the meta so I definitely want to expand my agent capacity, but I do not want to play controller (self explanatory) or duelist as I feel like it’s hard to frag out without supportive teammates which is hit and miss in solo q. I have pretty decent aim with a hs% of 33. I don’t think fade is the right pick as my main goal is to set up my team and if I don’t get a good team that kinda goes out the window. I can play most initiators to a decent level but I’m thinking of maybe learning cypher as I can provide for myself and also open up rounds with lurks. What do you guys think.

Holy fucking yap, my bad guys

because you dw to play controller/duelist, i suggest u picking up initiator especially kayo or gekko (latter is easier to play) or just play reyna/clove :D

I recommend trying out KAY/O. He was a lot easier for most other initiators for me to pick up, and he's amazing at setting up your team. You have a lot of consistent, guaranteed value with him regardless of how you perform, simply because of how his kit works. And the way he's played feels to me similar to Fade's in how aggressive you should and shouldn't be and what fights you can take.

He's also in a really good spot in the meta right now. He's always been amazing on Ascent and Breeze, but I'm seeing quite a few pro teams use him on several map's, so he's seeing decent play on pretty much every single map in rotation with the exception of Split and maybe Lotus (though we could be losing at least one of those maps within the next month).

I do suggest you keep your options open, though. Fade is still a great pick on both maps KAY/O isn't seeing much play in, so definitely keep her in your agent pool. Learning Cypher also isn't a bad idea, especially if you need to fill sentinel. Diversifying your agent pool and having a few picks for each map instead of just one isn't a bad idea, the way I see it. That's coming from a low elo flex player, though, so feel free to take that with a grain of salt.

raze absolutely relies on teammates because its duelist

duelists usually need util to frag otherwise they get shit on by operators n shit

Main yoru, half ini half duelist, best value character in the game rn, abuse him while you still can

raze is the most self sufficient duelist

jett and neon are completely useless without teammates dogs darts flashes

just the best option if u want to play duelist

100% i agree she is the most self sufficient (excluding reyna lol)

but my point was that she still needs util to rely on utility just like any other duelist

Yoru and shotgun raze is very underrated esp in low-mid ranked (iron-asc)

Doesn't sound right when Jett has smokes while Raze doesn't which makes Jett a better pick for Duelist if you don't have any support to cover for you since with Jett you can isolate fights with your smokes while Raze can only satchel in & pray for the best.

Duelist: Reyna

Controller: Omen or Clove

Sentinel: Killjoy

Initiator: Gekko
