if he was fluent he would be talking more in sen coms. he is shy cause he doesn't know what to say at times and this is because of his vocabulary not his personality.

i feel like this might be different from comms he would need in pro plays. obviously he can speak english to some degree even back then but mid round when situations call for adaptive changes or expressing new ideas he still could’ve found it difficult to word things right when situations call for on the fly calling. this is just speculation of course most of us don’t know the whole story
