Is this cope? (SR)

I was thinking about the SR game earlier and it made me realize something. I think GC teams might have the hardest time going through these open qualifiers.

Even if you ignore anything related to skill

1) about 1-2 months before this, they play in the GC championship, meaning they have to try their hardest and show strats, comps, and agent picks which anyone can see. Maybe the fact that we have a map pool change doesn't make this that big of a deal, but it still doesn't feel fair.
2) they have to worry about the GC qualifiers coming up, something that non-gc teams don't have to worry about.

It feels like the way challengers is set up kinda puts them at a disadvantage. I don't really think there is a way to get around this.

Idk tho, something feels a little unfair about it, but maybe I'm just coping preemptively in case SR lose.

They've got this. Even if they don't qualify this OQ, I feel like the odds are super high next time.

For the T2 teams that anti strat alot it is definitely a disadvantage. I just don't know how many teams actually have the time, resources, or dedication for that

Plus you'd have to know you are going to play sr in advance right? And these matches are often back to back

I don't mean it in so far as watching vods and stuff, but if you know the comp you're going to likely play against, I feel like that at least gives you a head up in prepping.

You might also have an advantage in picks and bans

Them having to play GC open quals right before is certainly draining I'd say. Specially cuz they just fucking won the GC world championship. One would assume they'd have a direct spot but no lol.

they have qualified for main event in game changers so technically it wont be any pressure playing this qualifiers

it is cope because they have to go thru a 128 team bracket, no team has enough time to counterstrat a team. the only disadvantage they have is a 1 month shorter offseason than most of these teams, but quite a few of these teams signed players in the past month or so it’s about the same level. if SR lose its because they are the worse team.

95% of open qualifiers don't even have a coach bruh

16/32 teams in the top 32 have a coach listed on VLR, 50%!!

I don’t think anti stratting has any effect in open quals other than in the very first map of each day, the way the format is you play so many matches back to back there’s no time to properly antistrat.
