Wassup fellas, tomorrow I have a test on how well you can debate.
I have the motion: AI is a blessing for art.
I have to fight in favour of the motion.
Anyone have ideas on the opening?

not really
because the motion is not: AI art is real art.
I can argue this motion, I mean the current state of art is kinda bad, we need inspiration asap.

Make sure to argue that creative interests should be hobbies, not careers and AI is doing these people a favor by forcing them to learn a marketable skill

As an artist this goes against my very being however I will
This is just like what has happened for every industry, who really cares that the chair carver is not a career choice, now they are manufactured in factories at a much more effective rate than ever could have been done by hand, this is no different
(This ignores my counterargument against this, which I will not get into because that is not what the thread is about)

I agree that arguing in favour of this motion is kinda bad, but thanks a lot

AI art can be used to make art more accessible without destroying the human essence conveyed through it. AI could be used to help streamline lighting or coloring or other things even some experienced artists struggle with. In turn we could see another mini renaissance, with independent artists being able to bring their stories to life easier.

Edit: the counter argument here is that expecting it to be used in assistance to artists is naive when its already copying complete artstyles and only getting better.
