I am working on a VCT Americas analysis page on instagram for a school project. I was curious if you guys had any suggestions for stuff I could post/ talk about on the page outside of the basic stuff. I also plan on covering VCL NA when it starts up.

You could make predictions and previews for the matches. Here's a short and brief template!

  1. Introduce teams and importance of series.
  2. Talk about recent form/interesting things you saw from previous matches.
  3. Integrate those interesting things and connect it to how the teams could perform in the series.
  4. Conclude by deciding on a winner and a score.
  5. State the score clearly in a short and concise sentence so people who don't like to read don't have to read.

Just a suggestion, good luck with your project!

You could make an algorithm to make your very own vct americas rankings, using an own elo system. for 2023

You could also try to extract skill levels of each player to predict rankings for the next season with the rostermania going around.

Stats for such are easily available on vlr.gg, rib.gg, augment.gg

To ideally not be on the data analysis day and night you could automate it easily with some html-parsing. I personally use requests and threading to speed up things.

Good luck!

I might do that, I haven’t dabbled in coding too much so it may be too much for me. I am using this project to force myself to learn how to photoshop stuff and edit videos together so maybe I could add that in as well

First of all, what is the school subject, what's the assessment criteria?

if you have the ambition for your page to do well you will things like stats and analytics are probably a nice thing. if you know basic graphic design and programming you can make very pretty graphs that will stand out.

It’s rather ambiguous but to give you the run down its a semester long “passion” project. It is part of a college class that I am taking as a senior. We just need to explore a topic we are passionate about and then create a presentation that gives a run down of our project.

I am using this project as a motivator to learn how to edit, code, and photoshop so I think that is def something I will try and do

AHH so you have autonomy over the subject and the output.

If you want it to be about Val and aren't already too deep in one idea. How about a documentary or some analysis to eSports.

You can delve very deep into what playing w video game is Vs eSports, the money, corporate structures, players, storylines etc.

That would be fun, I have never done something like that before so it could be fun
