According to JDT.
Valorant division was dissolved because "the cost of entering professional tournaments far exceeded the budget that could be raised by a smaller team."
JDT exported iZu to T1 with a second place finish at this year's VCJ.

not even eg winning a fucking champions could have stability, this is the sad truth of valorant esports and why it isnt expanding as an esport rn

Are any eSports really expanding? I saw some high record charts for the LoL grand finals. And the fact that it isn't "expanding" isn't even Valorant's fault in my opinion.

yeah lol doesnt have a strong tier 2 also, games with open quals have fresh players and talents joining because they can give it a try and get a chance of joining a good team if they get an opportunity but there is no real reason to grind lol or valorant unless you like the game or you are really goated in terms of talent like no one else.

Depends on the region. ERL is doing extremely well and it's arguably a tier 2 and 2.5 system with EM and LFL, Ultraliga, etc. In fact, they are doing better than some T1 systems in other games, so there's no need for further explanation. LDL also did well before the match fixing scandal.LCK CL not so much until now, but will get a boost thanks to Rekkles next year.
