EMEA vs NA talent pool

NA talent = EMEA talent

But

Because NA tier 2 is so consolidated, there is a larger quantity of known tier 2 talent; with a select few teams all competing against each other from the start and continuously upgrading their rosters with players that didn't make it into challengers but who deserve it, it makes the process of scouting players a lot easier especially when trying to filter performances to those against better teams.

EMEA has the exact same or maybe even better talent but the issue is that we don't know who's good or not. There's superstars from Tier 2 like wo0t and Enzo but because of how shit the EMEA tier 2 system is not a lot of them get recognized. Sub regions like Turkey with a deep pool of talent are not able to play against the rest of Europe enough for a scout to be able to properly compare them to other European teams. You have endless hordes of EMEA tier 2 duelists with a 1.2 rating on jett but with no guarantee how they'll perform against Liquid or Vitality

The entire CIS region is arguably Europe's biggest fire being deprived of oxygen by riot over real life politics and beyond that is still under the same limitations as Turkey.

The only players you end up being able to look at are ones that made playoffs but that still buries wayyy too much talent. I mean in NA just look at MXM. They were better than half of franchised NA teams yet they didn't even manage to make playoffs. Flyuh is imo the best player not in franchising in Americas right now

tl;dr the more consolidated your tier 2 scene is the greater concentration of talent you'll have and many more chances to highlight diamonds in the rough throughout a whole season rather than a week long playoffs

t1 is like a top 5 team in each region before franchising, eg were tier 2 demon1 was on a tier 3 team

tier 1 is international competitors, no way you think NRG and NCIS were the same level of team.. same way NRG and Optic were completely different levels

Ethan was the only EG player that played in the finals who had ever touched T1 consistently

no they dont lmfao optic played international teams while eg played NA teams the t1 t2 t3 bullshit is copied from every other game.. in no world is a team that shit tier 1

let go of your low iq.. eg won champs with t2-3 talent

The best T2 EMEA team was still top 8 itw tho

wtf are the "tiers" in ur head, nobody calls anything in vct level tier 2 or 3 there is a scene called the tier 2 scene below vct,in other games when taking of teams who are good enough to qualify and play in bigger events but are kinda shit people always say tier 1.5

t1 is international, last year that was teams competing to or qualifying to international lans - t2 is the teams who are at the top of NA but aren't competing internationally at all - sen NRG ghost were T2 team examples T3 are teams that arent going far in any sort of riot sponsored events like NSIC (jakees old team)

this year t1 is franchised, t2 is vcls, t3 is teams relegated (disguised, mad lions - in this case OR is bottom t2 now) and anything below that idc

The caveat of NA being so condensed is the inability for new talent to break into the scene.
Some challengers team will pick up older players due to the fact they have experience working in a team and a competitive environment.

still though, imagine how hard it is for an italian player to break into the scene right now. the whole sub region is so shit that any actual talents will be overlooked

as it stands every sub region of emea (Except MENA) will have a player who played in their domestic league in VCT for 2024.

Would lesser talent even get a chance to play if the leagues were consolidated?

Not Italian but Marteen played in Italy in 2023, both splits for GMT.
He's rumoured to join KC
