I had a bad incident while playing Valorant today, and I'm not sure how to deal with it. Here's what went happened:
I was in a game, about to plant the spike as brimstone. I had a teammate covering an angle, or so I thought. That idiot let the enemy enter site and I got shot while planting, so I lost my calm. I threw my headset, and now it's broken (right side wont work). What makes me sad is that this headset was a birthday gift from a loved one who passed away last year. I'm not mad at the idiot anymore, but I feel empty and sad about my headset. 😢 how to cope fast..

edit: my dormmate is an intern in a electronics repair shop, he said he will try fixing it tonight. will update result here in a couple of hours

edit 2: he fixed the wires and it works now!

keep it in ur room as a reminder of both the one who has passed on and as a reminder to not rage at a video game.

tldr: keepsake. buy new one

Yeah, if you made a list of people that you trusted. Would you put your name down? Do you know who you are? When you look at life and you talk about yours, do you feel proud? Are you leaving a mark, or scared to make a bad impression. So you just go hide in the dark. Livin' and playin' a part, knowing regret'll come back up tomorrow. That's what it does, ain't it? Don't know what we're chasin' But we all do it, just a part of life, I guess we're all foolish
Running after what we think will make us happy 'til it falls through And then we find out later it ain't what we wanted So we give up on it, then we pile the garbage And we watch it grow and find a drug and numb it 'til we hit the point that we can barely function

its just an item brother. the action of giving you the headset meant more than the headset itself

Think about how disappointed that person probably is rn, you destroyed a gift over a game of valorant. It's all your fault

I believe she is happy that the gift led to some personal growth. wont be raging anytime soon 😅

All good, as people mentioned the act of the headset being given is what is important.

But if valorant impacts you in this way you should limit the amount you play. I went from playing everyday and raging because it was such a big part of my life to playing during the weekends and it helped me actually enjoy the game again. Additionally my real life situation improved a lot because I have way more time for my chores/errands/schoolwork

Appreciate it ! I don't play much anymore, but in that match, there was a belittling duo who only spoke up to laugh when I died, which made had me pissed all game long.
Will heed your advice and take a break this week.
