Leo Fraudia finally fired?

when?

you guys have to understand, a multibillion dollar corporation hired a guy who has 0 EXPERIENCE in FPS esports to design a system that is fundamentally flawed.

without drastic changes, Val will go the way of Overwatch and LoL = no tier2 scene, tier1 full of old talent too washed but hold positions because of clout/nepotism

ah yes, he is singlehandedly making absurd comments about tier2

ah yes, lets not hold the figurehead accountable

ah yes, let's swallow the stinking, hot load of bs rito gives us about tier2

ah yes, lets not question our masters,

I'd trust the company running the most successful esport of all time over the retarded vlr dweller whose every post makes one question if he's human

'the most successful esport of all time'...

what is that? just because LoL farms Asian viewership doesnt make it the best esport...

I didn't say best, I said most successful. pretty obvious that generating most money = being most successful but I suppose you being a subhuman you wouldn't get it

ah, most successful. so by your standard, youd eat mcdonalds every day rather than a Michelin 3 star restaurant? good luck with that logic buddy

btw, enjoy ban for calling me a subhuman. i didnt make fun of your country for being anti-democratic and having some of the lowest education standards in the world... that would be accurate, but it wouldnt be nice!

what a stupid argument, this is the equivalent of saying "I'd rather watch csgo pro games over league pro games therefore this means that csgo is more successful"

the victim mentality on this is crazy, I called you a subhuman because of your clearly lacking intelligence not due to your country but again, I don't expect you to infer such basic information. as for my country I don't care and I'm not sure what you're trying to do by bringing up politics here kkkkkkk

sorry, i dont think you can comprehend what is being said. youre an npc, and thats OK

I guess its hard to argue with someone who legitimately thinks Riot should go unquestioned (deepthroat that boot) because they made a better esport than CS (spoiler: they havent)

he never said or suggested that riot should go unquestioned. I've noticed that in almost every single one of your replies to someone it is negative and you put words in peoples mouths.

Lol is the most successful esports of all time if you base success off revenue. Riots goal is to make a health esports scene so that it keeps lots of the playerbase and to try and make a profit from the scene. If you base it off viewership Lol would be top 3 and I'm pretty sure it would be first. So almost however you measure success Lol will be top 3.

You are just so delusional that you actually believe CS is more successful compared to Lol in esports.

valorant fans are casuals.. they would rather watch the same orgs & players at t1. entertainment>competitiveness. but hey if thats what they want oh well

the truth is a healthy tier2 scene grows the fan base, not to mention the talent pool

yup thats why i prefer cs for real esports (their tier two EU scene is flourishing). val is just more for entertainment. plus the fans arent even diehard in vct anyways, its like watching baseball vs softball or smth LOL

love this analogy

no problem with softball, its got its own niche, its own lane, just like Valorant, for childe gamers, and we must support children, they will learn one day the truth...

I doubt Leo is unilaterally making the big decisions (he is mostly just a figurehead punching bag). After all, who the fuck would make a choice like riot did knowing that they will recieve likely thousands of negative comments online. He surely had the prescience to see that there would have been this kind of backlash. There was also mre nuance to the guard situation in that 1. at least a minimum of 3 or 4 of the individuals would have signed to partnership teams anway and 2. there are very real possibilities of underhanded slot sales and riot can do little to anticipate and stop them. Maybe the optimal solution was to just let this happen (with plausible deniablity as TMV, sideshow etc have argued) and much of the backlash could have been anticipated with a longer statement that explicitly mentioned these concerns, rather than the vague bullshit that we did get. Maybe the whole situation was some kind of ploy for riot to get some kind of community goodwill and emanate feelings that the people are listened to, but I can't help but feel the distrust they have sewn in tier 2 vastly outweighs that. Silly billy moments happen I guess.

allat

  • leo doesnt seem to have the foresight you attribute to him. he seems to make comments out of spontaneous spite, not out of deep rational contemplation. riot basically hired a corporate idiot with 0 tac fps experience, and we're all here to just nod our heads and think this will be fine

he seems to make comments out of spontaneous spite

specifically what statements? I don't follow everything super closely tbh. The whole guest slots situation was honesly just semantics and seems way overblown in retrospect. Maybe there is a better argument with the recent br interview he gave about tier 2 support, but again I think this is rito trying to be overt in their signals that they should not directly financially prop up the tier 2 (which I think they are worried about, given that they do this for tier 1). But they have definitely gone too far the other way with this, given how far this whole latest drama has probably dried out an already arid investment interest in ascension.

he is just a reflection of Riot's way of thinking, if they change the person the approach will be the same cuz one person doesn't decide those major topics
