i mean from what i understand its the guard's fault for not meeting a certain deadline?

leo faria and riot dont have control over that?

maybe i dont really understand the situation

Yes. For not letting them have the option of signing to another org and wasting the entire year of T2 with zero promotions.

yeah but how do you want them to handle it? promote m80 when they didnt deserve it? its a really tricky situation and every solution has its pros and cons and riot just chose one of them

just let tgrd players go to a diff org or compete as F/A

yeah well theres this problem

and then the whole point of franchising is lost

like i get it i think letting another org pick up tgrd is the better option for the players and viewers, but as riot you need to consider the long term goals of franchising and if they allow another org to pick up tgrd, it sets a precedent for selling franchising spots. unless they make a special exception for the guard...

right i get that but still that probably means a whole new remodeling of ascension with org vetting and other stuff, which if you think about riot's promises of ascension being open to everyone and giving a chance to everyone is a bit contradictory.

tgrd already releasing the 5 as F/A

that’s the problem, out of all the possible solutions they chose the absolute worst one lmao

not necessarily, giving the spot to m80 would have been worse imo

its the guards fault for not meeting the deadline, but its leo faria and riot's fault for not handling the situation properly AFTERWARDS

its the guards fault for not reaching the deadline
in letting tgrd players compete under either a different org or as an f/a team thats on leo faria as the head of esports

Yes, for not having necessary measures in place for situations like these and also for allowing an org like The Guard to compete in Ascension in the first place.

guards fault for terrible org management

riot fault for not finding compromise for the players

People are mad at the guard as an org, but people are mad at Riot for not supporting the players because they worked so hard to win ascension, but that got that stripped away from them and riot isn’t doing much except saying hope for the best and hope some tier 1 team will pick you up.

u trolling or what? they’re not allowing another org to buy the team as a whole and they don’t want to let another team take their spot. they’d rather one whole region has 0 promos. a whole year of playing to try to get franchised wasted.

You don't really understand the situation.

It's the guard's fault for not wanting to follow deadlines and riot's fault for not addressing the situation correctly

Yes because clearly he responded with a terrible response and absolutely zero transparency
Legit no casters when valyn was guest analyzing or the guard players knew anything about this issue
