penang is famous for its char kuey teow, its an amazing noodle dish with a soya sauce base and usually comes with beansprouts. shrimp and cockles. If you like sour food, you should try the asam laksa also try the o chien its an omelette with oysters that is crispy because of the potato starch

eat some char kuey teow (other guy alr described it), chicken satay (basically like grilled chicken skewers), roti canai (like a flat bread w/ curry), laksa (penang laksa is super super famous and very good)

It means exactly as you read it bro. Malaysia is part of India, but with its residents mostly Chinese descent. But they eat their traditional Indian curry still.

American living in Malaysia here - most of the Penang specific food is covered here already, with char kuey teow and assam laksa being my favorites. Nasi kandar (a type of mixed rice) is also well worth trying. Ask for "kuah campur" and they'll mix all the curries together for you. Server-wise Singapore will be more stable than Hong Kong and with lower ping.
