RIOT ignoring EU as usual, disgraceful

Valorant OFF/ / SEASON will have 40 (!!!) events and 0 of them in Europe. Actually disgraceful. You'd think EU would be the region with a small trophy cabinet. China gets what they want but they don't literally even look EU's way. Slowly starting to hope Valorant would die in EU and Valorant with it
Edit: There are 9 total events in EU but for some weird reason RIOT just ignored that and didn't post info about them. Every other region gets love except the one with by far the most trophies 🙏

EU can't compete with India apparently when it comes to OFF / / SEASON. Game will die in Europe soon anyways. CS2 coming out and RIOT totally ignoring EU.

I don’t think as many valorant players as people think will switch over to csgo when it’s just a smokes and ui update. Maybe if it launched around when valorant came out. Also I don’t follow the csgo scene but why is every team from eu? Does NA and Pacific just suck? If that’s the case then even less players r going to cs 2, since I’m guessing there’s little support from them in other regions

NA and Pacific are shit at CS and EU have probably all of the top 50 players itw aside from Twistzz

There's a reason why pacific (idk abt na) players are shit.. it's because csgo practically gives them 0 chance to grow therefore they move to valorant

Maybe improve viewership lil bro. Ask your friends and strangers to be fan of game. Make a sign and stand outside “plz watch Valorant”

I wonder why no one watched eu vcls I wonder whose decision it was to have 100 leagues and impose strict nationality quotas

its not riots job to host off season events. if there are no interested TO's then there'll be no events. we lack viewership. there is a reason red bull went from emea to japan this year. and like why would a TO hit them in their legs by hosting a GC event. the viewership will be even lower for that. just invite kc gc and g2 gozen with other vct/t2 teams in an event, that makes more sense

"We lack viewership" mf maybe next time get your facts straight before spewing bs. India has multiple events and India has a non existent scene and not many viewers. Also these are RIOT held events lmao

it's cheap to hold events in india, they're pretty lackluster here, I went to a LAN in Bangalore it was mediocre for something Riot organised. They wanna beef up the event numbers (40 events waow!!!)

i saw both superdome in egypt which fnatic and acend attended and the lan heretics and prx attended in india.
the viewership was much better for india event, as well as the production (both were shit though lol, but india was a bit better)

  • with what you said about it being cheap, it makes sense why they have more events in india

and what are riot held events???? they are riot approved events, they might help out personally in some of them, like providing actual lan servers in ludwig tarik. but at the end of the day, riot doesnt really decide how many events will happen in emea or anywhere else

this is basically what it comes down to. The region has to be interested in it, which EU regionals in valorant are not.

Quite obvious, no? Most of the event held during the off-season is from a private company. They only received help from Riot to use their client, while the TO handles the rest just like the challenger. Leo himself once told Platchat that Riot didn't handle anything besides the client and format for challengers na, and knights handled most of them, which they agreed with because they could get their own sponsors and make money. For example, player1, which held GEG Brazil, is a private TO that held multiple events. They make money from ticket sales, merch and broadcasting. They have their own sponsors that are not affiliated with Riot vct; this means that Riot itself does not handle them since Riot can't have their competitor sponsors, just like League of Legends, where Razer used to be their sponsor until Logitech took the spot.

Riot doesn't even allow league of legends players to stream dota. Can't expect them to be seen with a competitors sponsors if they handled it themselves

You're right, but what can you do? Tencent is RIOT's parent company, so if you don't like it, hold it. If Nokia buys RIOT, Finland will be given special care.

They can give special care to China and NA i don't expect better, but they shouldn't disrespect EU like this

People saying EU doesn’t have the viewership, doesn’t know EU has a lot of fanbase.

The problem isn’t Riot. It’s the TO’s willingness to organize these off season events, if TOs can’t get sponsorships, etc. they can’t organize shit. The TOs will not pay the prize money out of their own fking pocket, lol
