TenZ and Asuna

At this point in their careers I would rate them both at around the same level, they both reached incredible peaks during the early stages of competitive valorant and have both transitioned into a more pseudo-duelist/flash initiator role. If you were building a team from scratch right now who would you pick up?

Please stop saying "I want Asuna to get what he deserves", his performance at the LCQ was mediocre and the position he and his team are in now is well deserved. He no longer has any value other than as an early 100T player.

TenZ and it's not even close. As good as Asuna is, TenZ is much more valuable to an org and a better player overall. I still maintain that you can easily build a winning team around TenZ, SEN just cares more about clout than winning. He was a top 10 player in Americas LCQ, on a team with basically no igl.

They have tried to build around him multiple times, mfs just need to let it go. There are many players much better than Tenz, even zekken was much better on primary duelist. There comes a time when people just need to admit tenz is 100% not worth trying to build a team around

The thing is it's rarely been TenZ's fault that his teams have been bad. Like for example, if you go back to LCQ of last year SEN picked up shroud of all players, and SEN (TenZ especially) still did pretty well. It's true that he's not as good as other duelists at entry fragging, but you can still use him in an off-duelist/initiator role. TenZ is still a really good player and a good team could figure out how to use him properly. And even if there are players better than him, he's still more valuable to an org than those players.

For the most part, Asuna is more flexible but tenz can frag more.

No. I agree that tenz is better than asuna but your overstating how good he is. he is 100% not a top 10 player in americas but more like an average player. tenz is not that guy anymore and building a team around him is a bad idea which sentinels have learned now. He's just mechanically insane and thats about it. I don't see him getting picked up or staying in tier 1 next year and will most likely get dropped by sentinels soon.

First off, I never said he was a top 10 player in Americas, there are definitely 10 players in Americas better than him. I was referring to his performance at Americas LCQ, which was top 10 amongst players who played min. 2 games. Secondly, idk why you think he's so bad in comparison to the competition. Sure, there are players better than him that are available, but they are not that much better. The only real problem with TenZ is his agent pool but with all this time in the offseason that can be expanded. It makes no sense for SEN not to want him back considering how important he is to their brand, and TenZ will probably want to stay due to the low market for duelist players. He's most likely going to be on SEN next year, and IMO it's deserved.

asuna plays more agents IG but like his raze and skye are good anything else is pushing it kinda like tenz on jett and kayo

tenz is the smarter player though and surprisingly takes better duels

both are above average in franchising tho

How so?

better agent pool, proven and more experienced on those agents, overheats but significantly less than Tenz and in recent times has been more consistent.
also has better stats on a worse team(not as strong of a reason as the ones I mentioned above but just more points for Asuna)

bro have you learned nothing from who succeeds in competitive valorant these last two years.

I would pick up NiSMO and JonahP before I picked up Asuna and TenZ because they know hella flash lineups and how to set up their team better than anyone else and get the necessary info for their team to succeed.

If we're talking purely about who's a better player in this regard, Asuna fits into a tier 1 team a lot better than TenZ; he plays his role as a flash initiator incredibly well--although they both have issues with overheating. What's more, Asuna can play Kayo or skye depending on the map while TenZ can only play Kayo decently well.

they both may not be at the heights they were at in 2021 but I would not call either of them terrible or anything. overrated maybe, but they both still can be really good.

asuna is flex and tenz is duelist. I think asuna is better but mechanically i think tenz is better. I never said tenz was better generally but i said tenz was better mechanically and adding on I think he is only better than asuna mechanically and that's it.
