LATAM Viewership

Valorant might actually become the most watched esport in the future if every region continues to develop like this.

Holy shit, first we had Brazil with the rise of LOUD

then we had China beginning to take off with their viewers increasing exponentially after EDGs performance at Tokyo.

Now, 2 years after KRUs miracle run at Champs 2021, LATAM is finally a consistently top tier region with teams on par with the best of the best internationally, and after this game and probably tommorrows game, viewership and interest are only going to rise.

Theres no other esport like this, it might unironically blow up to become comparable to some real life physical sports on a commercial basis

sadly NA is not competitive, so Riot needs to pay Tarik to watch games and bring viewership for this dead region

C9 is on par with NRG and EG, whom are the 2nd and 4th best teams in the world respectively. Beating them means you finally stepped in as a legitimate competitor to the worlds best teams

they looked so clean while playing in the league,
I gotta be honest i didn't watch today's game but they just looked a bit lost against KRU (and SEN on that one map)

they didnt look cleann playing in the league, they always looked very puggyl; I mean just look at their match against KRU in the regular season

I'll have to disagree, they had some really nice ideas
but we will see how competitive KRU and LEV really are at champs, imo they are not really better than any of the other region's LCQ contenders

they had nice ideas but they never felt like NRG in the way they take map control. They were always wayy too willing to take risky 1v1s

Like their lotus for example, they had really good Neon setups, but they always seemed to use their set strats as a foundation to just go out, deviate and frag out, which worked for them all regular season.

When they stopped winning all of their gunfights they had to crutch on their strats, which are still good, but they no longer look as dominant because they don't get such overwhelming advantages from steamrolling pistol, eco, and bonus rounds

I agree that once it comes to important matches and c9 get deep into a series they just lose out because they lack some experience and adaptability. but still they looked considerably worse in lcq, even their strats weren't really working out

Don't forget Zeta and the 2022 M1 run. They have the potential to make champs, and that's some sweet extra viewership.

If Zeta qualify tomorrow, champs will have insane viewership

It's actually insane. Every region improve so much the interesting, viewership and also the quality of the teams.

Valorant still has some places it could grow, EMEA still is dominated by CS, so the viewership still has some room to grow, and obviously Africa is an untapped goldmine for potential viewership. If valorant can get a foothold in Sub-Saharan Africa then they would basically have the region all to themselves, with no real comp for viewership
