Franchising System Redone

Americas has way too much talent to be limited to just 10 teams and 50 players. Americas should be divided into 2 separate leagues.
North America - 10 Teams
South America - 10 Teams
-6 brazil teams
-2 Latin America North teams
-2 Latin America South teams

Emea should stay the same, just maybe change out one of the Spanish teams because we don’t need 3 and replace them with a MENA team like Team Falcons or RA’AD.

Pacific could also be divided into 2 leagues. East Asia and APAC.

East Asia - 10 Teams
-4 China Teams
-3 Korea Teams
-2 Japan Teams
-1 Hong Kong/Taiwan Team
APAC - 10 Teams
-1 Vietnam Team
-1 India Team
-1 Thailand Team
-2 Philippines Team
-1 Oceania Team
-2 MY/SG Team
-2 Indonesia Team

Thoughts?

tf you on, this sounds horrible. Even riot dont got the kinda money to fund this shit and on top of that, this kills the tier 2 scene even more than its already been

I mean at that point its not franchising, its just what we had before. Not that i disagree, i think they just gotta remove franchising

No that costs way too much. They should just add relegation. First 2 years teams are safe after that lowest team gets replaced with ascension winner.

Ascension winners are protected for 1 year so even if they're last they stay.

bro saying it costs "too much" when they probably cover the entire cost of franchising with one 100 dollar skin drop

throwing 30 million down the drain every year doesn't sound like a sustainable business practice

Yeah, 5 leagues instead of 3 is what I thought as well. But I don't think Riot will do this, it will cost a lot

It's the only way to save BR and LATAM competitive.

Otherwise, Valorant here will die in a few years, because teams will be in a forever disadvantage against NA Ascension teams who can practice against the franchised teams, they won't have chances to go to franchise, so the whole objective of playing the regional league doesn't make sense.

So if there's no team investing in the regional league, the level will decrease and there won't be new and promising players.

edit: It's a absurd and disrespect with the BR community when I remember the fact that Brazil had a very sustanaible, entertaining and with good level regional scene, but riot proceeded to destroy it consciously. As someone who is watching BR scene since First Strike 2020, it's sad to see

I mean yea but it is what it is. If theyre good theyll be able to compete regardless, having high level opposition clearly hasnt been the catalyst for good teams like DRX, Bonkers (theyre not world class but compared to their competition theyve always been competing with SEA), United, Loud (Iceland, they never had any good teams to prac against back then).
The level of play in a region doesnt determine how good a team is, how good the support system, strategies, and player synergy are is what dictates how good a team is

All these teams had decent teams to practice against. But when the 15 best brazilian players and 10 best LATAM players are in NA, while all NA regional teams are practicing against the best teams in the world, BR and LATAM teams will have a huge disadvantage.

Do you know why the concept of BOOTCAMP exists in eSports? Because if you're practicing against the best, you will get better.

Btw I just want to point out, if can have a separate leagues for china, Korea and Brazil in league of legends, I think 5 reasonable leagues in valorant is very viable. Especially with how popular the game has become globally.

Ngl I’d like this format, Masters with 16 teams and Champs with N/A teams
Masters will be play in groups of 4 and top 2 qualify like Champs, 3 NA teams, 3 EMEA Teams, 2 Brazil teams, 2 LATAM teams, 3 East Asia, and 3 APAC.
Champions will be tough to decided

edit: NA has the biggest problem because na only has 5 teams with 25 players rn and to be honest, the players on NRG, EG, and C9 are almost unchanageable because they are very worthy of franchising. So challengers players will either have to hope that SEN or 100T will pick them up or have them go all the way through ascension. Many M80 players are going to be screwed by this.

this is the reality for so many NA players bc EMEA has so many unnecessary teams and players in franchising.

the fact that the skill is already packed into a total of 25 players and yet NA still dont seem to be the most dominant region is a problem. It shows the level of play and how its declining. Sure NA had 2 in the top 4 in Tokyo but ever since Masters Berlin its only ever been going downhill slowly

here's my idea:

  • 10 slots for Americas, EMEA, APAC
  • 10 slots for China
