every time I open up I feel like a vulnerable part of me has been exposed, and there's nothing left of me. I can't trust anyone or they might use it against me. it's why I just stay surface level with everyone, I don't think I can.

Same, I've never had a good experience after venting to someone. Everything just gets awkward and I think it's sometimes better to keep things to yourself.

Not having a safe space to vent and feeling uncomfortable opening up is really rough I feel you.

It’s ok to be vulnerable, ok to have flaws. Doesn’t make you any less of a person.

There will always be someone for you that doesn’t invalidate your humanity when you show emotion, whether that be family, friends, or even professional help.

Sometimes the last person you’d expect opening up to would be a good idea is a person that feels the same way and is equally as scared to show feeling.

Good people will listen, and you are not a bad person for opening up ❤️❤️❤️❤️
