I feel like these stats don't really mean much due to the region diff

I could see The Union still putting up good numbers but the other 2 SA teams would have much lower stats

I think it's important to note that 00Nation picked up xand and bezn1 for split 2 and it made all the difference
Split 1 : 2-5
Split 2 : 7-5

This should put them on par at least with Fusion, probably better.

Please put an ALLAT tag holy anyway I think I would've preferred your actual analysis instead of a stat dump.

It's still pretty nice for context, map preferences, etc. And consistency (such as in 9z's case), should not be overlooked. They have as good a shot as anyone to make it to franchising.

VLR already provided a pretty good preview. I just wanted some stat comparisons.
But if you want a quick run down.

M80, The Union, and 9z Team each dominated their respective region with similar stats. Really hard to add more to them than just that.

The Guard is the only one of the 3 remaining to beat a team from above. They are consistent, and stat wise are not far behind the teams above them. They also probably have the most experience as a roster than anyone else in the tournament.

Fusion looked solid in LATAM North but got clearly outclassed by 9z. They come in as probably the biggest underdogs in the tournament.

00Nation struggled early in stage 1, but added Xand and bezn1 in stage 2. While they went 3-3 in groups in stage 2, they went on a cinderella run in the playoffs to make it here.

Map pool wise, expect to see a lot of Haven, Ascent and Fracture.

FSN can be the real underdog of the tournament, they come from a bootcamp in europe and idk. i dont think really

I think Pearl being Guard's Perma ban is a bit interesting considering they were actually pretty good on it. They used to always float it and then win it if it was picked. They are 4/6 on the map during the league, beating m80 on it twice

They lost it to TSM 16/18 when TSM was in honeymoon phase when Kanpeki just joined and Guard looked the worst they did all season in that game on both maps.
And then they lost it 7/13 against MxM who loved that map WHILE Guard had their coach playing. After Guard lost that time they started to perma ban it after

Just feels strange that they would decide on Pearl to be the perma-ban but I guess they just didn't like the map very much the whole time

The Guard has the deepest map pool imo, as they played every map a handful of times. Wouldn't be surprised if they switched off the Pearl Ban in favor of a Haven pick. They're solid at Haven, but everyone at this contest has been good at it. Ascent should be their preferred map because they've been great at it this season.

I agree, and I would much prefer to see them ban Split, a map they’ve never actually been good on in the first place. They haven’t beaten any good Challengers team on it

I might have agreed with you, but the game against 9z was pitiful, only managing 14 rounds in 3 maps.

Only the LATAM teams play Split. I would probably not ban it first unless playing 9z, because most teams will favor a map they're strong on for their first pick.

There’s no point in permabanning any other map for The Guard, they aren’t weak on any other maps except arguably Haven, where they keep losing 10-13 or 11-13
