i hope next masters/champs they actually show the draw so people can't call foul play (i know it probably isn't, but it doesn't kinda feel like that seeing APAC vs APAC every tournament like that)

It is a random draw. So, while unfortunate, it is the fairest way of it. I agree with LycheeBlade (for transparency and also content purposes) that it would be super cool to see a live draw.

This random draw ALSO gave us NRG v FNATIC which I am extremely excited for! And, honestly, I am very curious how the DRX v PRX rematch, if you will, will turn out. It's not all doom and gloom! Every game is one to be excited about. :)

Also, FWIW, I don't think Riot for viewership purposes would want to see games we have "already seen before" -- new match ups are always more exciting and a bigger draw, in my opinion.

Its not random, TENCENT which owns RIOT manipulated the draw to favor the pacific league, PRX vs DRX in the quarterfinals, its the only way to have a pacific team in the semifinals.

they can just copy the UCL draw in which if teams are from the same region, you get pushed down the bracket
for example as soon as drx are drawn to face PRX, by the new rule this cant happen so they are pushed down the bracket to face fnatic and another team is drawn to face PRX

so, i was wondering If this is really the best matchups possible and i decided to think in the "logic way" of seeding and regional distribution

in the end i came with this bracket:
TL x NRG
LOUD x DRX
FNC x EG
PRX x EDG

as you can see, this bracket respects all the "rules" of same group teams in the opposite side and make the most fair distribution possible with all regions

Riot sucks in make "draws"

this, its not a coincidence that the draw gets us PRX vs DRX in three tournaments. I think they want all the same region teams in a fistfight earlier so the latter matches are actually region vs region.
