dont the teams that make tokyo make champions and then a fourth team will be decided from the lcq. the lock in spot does not qualify for champions im pretty sure. i may be wrong

any team qualified to tokyo quals to champs, each region has an LCQ (last chance qualifier) for an extra spot including china
therefore:

  • tokyo: 3 Americas, 4 EMEA, 3 Pacific, 2 china
  • champs: Tokyo winner, 3 Americas, top 3 EMEA from tokyo, 3 pacific, 2 china, 1 LCQ from each region (including china)

yeah shit is stupid, hopefully Riot does what CS does and give more spots to the stronger regions
after this year if the 2 and 3 chinese teams in tokyo and champs bottom out 9-12 or 13-16, riot will make some changes
i doubt china would love being humiliated in a sport
