NA and EU Debate

I have not expected the EU to dominate NA if I am going to be all honest. The teams have never faced each other, the game is still quite new, and it is the first LAN tournament, so this tournament is very random and the team with better individual performance probably going to take this tournament and it wouldn't surprise me if Sentinels take it.

However, as time will go, the EU will dominate and completely take over the scene, as they always did, due to our different approach to the games and structure of our teams, we will dominate strat-wise and teamwise the server till the point where individual skill will be nice to win couple rounds, but not the entire series.

Mark my words :]

Honestly, Fnatic seems the better team in general. Liquid in the Grand Finals of the EMEA Playoffs was a case of just being better on the day in my opinion. Boaster is ready for a lower bracket run I'm sure.

So true! I'm from NA and I watched EU to see that the NA teams so far have exploited the weaknesses of Fnatic and Liquid. I think in the coming rematches that will not be the case.

Most people did not expect NA to perform so well (at least V1 after their first game) and EU were heavy favorites. EU is super top heavy and 85% of people still think they're the best region. Version1 beat Liquid because liquid failed to adapt to the new meta and got out util-ed. SEN and Fnatic are the 2 best teams in the world right now (by far imo, maybe FPX could be there too if they didnt always choke) and SEN won the coin toss. However, saying that the results are all random is a very brainless take that implies you're not actually watching the games or following the scene. SEN have been on top for ages now. Fnatic has been less consistent but with their new(ish) roster changes they look to be a top contender in Europe for a long time coming. The best teams will stay at the top. Those who adapt will stay at the top. Teams like Liquid who didn't adapt got dominated tactically and lost even though they had better players. Even though I'd say EU is better overall, NA's best > EU's best.

This is so true. Same thing applies to a team like 100 Thieves. They are a great great team but refused to adapt to the new meta and that's why they're sitting at home instead of at masters.

A big part of NA's success in Iceland has been the strats. For example, Liquid played a 4-1 setup against V1 and refused to adapt (on Haven I believe, where they lost 13-4). Additionally, V1's post-plants were insanely good.

The big component of this game is a meta that shifts more frequently than cs:go, so I don't necessarily expect NA to continue dominating. However, to say that EU will start dominating because "big brain" is trolling.
