"[no one] ask[s] questions about their "ability to lead." People have said all the time that there are coaches that shouldn't be coaches because they aren't capable of performing well, Rawkus is one that comes to mind. IMO, this is the first time that Potter's gotten a large amount of pushback, or criticism, for most of her career at EG, she's been pretty well-regarded. People just like saying shit like this because it lets them get some ego from virtue signaling.

Ok, this has been driving me crazy for seven movies now, and I know you're going to roll your eyes, but hear me out: Harry Potter should have carried a 1911.

she should be held accountable for roster moves, team building, strats etc. But Leorge straight up put all the blame on her when the players cant even shoot straight. C0m and Jawgemo had 0.5 rating vs 100T and Jawg is supposed to be their star player. C0m had 10 kills in 2 matches lol. Either Potter doesnt care or she is being too lenient with her trash players
terrible take from the tweeter tbh, it's just a thing that comes with gender. as a woman, if she was the #1 team in americas then she'd be praised and celebrated much more than a male coach. on the other hand, if she's at the bottom of americas, then she'll be treated worse by some because she's a woman. it's a two-way street, it's just that the extremes are emphasized for women. if people dislike that women get treated worse at the bottom, then stop treating women better at the top. it's a give and take, you can't have one without the other

I think its better for her bc shes a coach not a player, so people cant directly criticize her, they don't know what happens behind the scenes. so while I don't think genders an issue for potter, I think it's definitely an issue for another female players in the scene and that shouldn't be negated just because the same thing cant be said for potter.
im saying the average sentiment toward a woman failing will be worse than the average sentiment toward a man failing. conversely, if a woman succeeds, she'll be held in a much higher regard than a man succeeding. personally, i haven't seen many people dog piling on potter, i just think this tweeter is making up shit in her head tbh
It's pretty tiring to see something like this when the whole point of the EG roster concept was so Potter could specifically mold players that weren't traditional T1 stars into that. The lack of results from that is something that you can legitimately question Potter for. This tweet, at least for me, doesn't feel like a defense for Potter, but more of a defense for a woman that is coaching t1 Valorant, if that makes sense.
I would love to see Potter with a more talented team, but her roster construction and out of game decision making has been abysmal. Keeping reformed and apoth who have shown their level already, picking up BcJ, putting him on smokes, then subbing him out after being their best player? She actually has turned this team around a ton since this time last year but she needs to put in some more work at the end of 2023 for me to have faith in this team at all.
