Why is DSG creating a GC roster with content creators like Kyedae?
We all know they are going to get stomped in the first round anyway.
At most, they are probably going to play against Ascendents/low immortal first round

it'll either be another KOI soon or fail in 6 months and close shop
Honestly it could be a good move from Toast perspective to get DSG brand out there.

sad thing is most likely we will stop hearing of DSG in a year from now because of financial issues and/or DSG doesnt do well/qualify for ascension
ye i kinda don't get it tbh. He should've signed some actual good players for probably WAY less than he signed his previous male roster , gotten them to interact with the female cc's the same way he did with his male team (to give gc scene exposure and whatnot), and still make a good run in the circuit. The whole clout/exposure argument doesn't stick at all.

i dont know if he would have wanted to invest and gamble in a current f/a roster especially since DSG main roster isn’t excelling right now either. most of the really great GC teams are signed (COL, V1, SR, EG, CLG, XSET, MSF) and it probably doesnt feel worth it right now to take a gamble before any f/a rosters prove themselves. FaZe invested in a GC roster (prev one of the best f/a rosters, hamboigas) and they are getting stomped to say the least. it makes sense to do what he did, sign tupperware, who is trying to prove herself as an igl (?), and go from there. maybe in the future, DSG will sign a true GC roster after seeing success.
take what i say with a grain of salt though, im no professional :]

Toast said he was willing to finance DSG for at least two years out of pocket, and if after two years there was no sponsors or anything to show he'd pull the plug

he isn't gonna see success tho is the problem. there's no point to this roster.
Ig the main thing here was that he never wanted to invest in a gc roster in the first place, this content team was always the plan. All good then. If he'd wanted to put some money on the table, there's a decent amt of F/A scrubs guaranteed to make a good run, given the right support. Doesn't matter though, cause that was never the intent.
