seems good for orgs which are going bankrupt with recession and high player salaries

would work best if there is a global salary cap.
otherwise the players would just move to NA.

a team salary cap would be more interesting than just player salary caps.

And global salary caps are very hard to do considering every region has vastly different costs of living.

I think the players would disagree. Free agency and the much talked about “rostermania” wouldn’t mean much if there were a cap. Plus…Riot vetted out some good teams that weren’t financially stable ( at least that’s what they claimed).

Pretty sure a salary cap is illegal in the U.S. without a union to bargain with (The Overwatch League got in trouble for that : https://www.engadget.com/doj-overwatch-league-salary-caps-investigation-203707925.html)
