Dota 2 was a new game.
Source 2 just takes the old game and makes it feel better.
If they fix the 2 reasons why most casuals don’t play cs, then it might take a serious bite out of Valorant.
1) Most casuals don’t want to have to join a “league” so they don’t have lobbies filled with cheaters.
2) the game feels and looks old and janky.
From what I have heard, they are fixing #2. I’m just skeptical they will fix the first one, and that’s the most important one.
CSGO = shitty graphics, ugly game, boomers only also valve is lazy and rito owns them
It’s a lower skill floor than Valorant for new players.
It’s only at the higher levels where CS starts to have a higher skill floor.
you can literally drop in a silver 1 lobby and everyone already knows all the callouts, angles and lineups, you can drop into a iron 1 lobby in val and mfs will be playing with trackpads

you don't need to learn every ability in the game to play nor do you need to learn how to tap as a new player what are you talking about
I think ppl will be seriously disappointed if they expect anything more than a better engine and performance improvements/graphics.
valorant comp is doing well in places that valve doesnt give a shit about. souce 2 update wont change that since valve does not invest in comp anything outside of TI
you act like a lot of valorant players didnt came from overwatch apex and even paladins or other fps and every individual on tier 2 needs or depends on csgo to make a living man.
There is a reason NA, BR and APAC scene is dead in CS. Franchising keeps all the league's tied together and makes the eSports healthy.
