  1. C9 have trouble in scrims, not performing as expected
  2. Sill goes on to play lock in
  3. Beats prx but loses to drx
  4. Coach believes roles were the main reason for losing
  5. Ask yay to be more flexible and he denies
  6. Team and yay believes its better to part ways

Maybe?

Wrong
They can't pay his salary, did quick calculations and took the loss from not selling him because it would still not be as bad as keeping him
Econ is brutal rn

yay probably demanded roster changes through some sort of an ultimatum, c9 for the good of the org decided to not placate some guy's overinflated ego

i guess his contract was terminated and they paid him for the time he was on team.Giant org like C9 would definitely have an exit clause rather than keeping yay benched and pay him

also maybe yay just isnt good with any agent other than chamber ??
they tried scrimming with him being flexible and they found out that its better to just put leaf on jett over yay
and idk why everyone think yay is the victim here like obviously the org ain't perfect but maybe yay just isn't a good fit for this team eveyones acting like the org is a devil and yay can do no wrong

The double "definitely" in this tweet tells me it was a decision made by higher-ups since "the team/coach definitely agreed with me being removed"

edit: tweet was deleted, was from @yay:

"officially a unrestricted F/A
"role issues were definitely the reason for me departing and the team/coach definitely agreed with me being removed
"will address it further in a video or stream"

100%. theres got to be some conflict. or some other outside issue
theres no way they dont atleast try to work it out.
especially with the cost of terminating yay's contract

And how much did they even pay for his buyout? Wasn't it like a crazy amount?

yay's actually played more Jett than Chamber lol that's where he got his El Diablo nickname. It is what it is at the end of the day. Just weird for Cloud9 to pay the money they did for yay then just to drop him before actually playing in the regular season.

They paid him believing that he will be as good as he was in chamber meta but that wasn't the case....

More precisely C9 thought Yay is not worth that much money.

but getting a nickname is no big feat, he was no different than any other Jett at that time.
