exactly, what are you trying to argue?
I can GUARANTEE you if we look at FAANGS latest intern hiring, 99.9% of them are all in college, and prestigious unis too
yes, once u get the job and u gain experience, then ur degree becomes less relevant
Bro these kids are so funny. Like they'll say google doesn't care about degrees. Which is true but not caring about degrees doesn't mean hiring people without degrees.
Google doesn't care about degrees that much because in Comp Sci, there's lots of people with degrees; They will hire the only mother fuckers with actual projects under their belt. And for projects, lots of the people that work at google started their projects at UNI. Like uni students working together to make new shit, do research with eachother and/or their professors.
Chances are that if you didn't go to university you didn't have the support system to be able to do as much shit as you would. Guess what? Being in university and being sorrounded by other students who want to work will motivate you and will put you in situations where you do lots of projects.
still highschool kid, he'll learn
he has a point that the content they teach in uni can be accessed for free (not all but the basic stuff yes)
but that's not why u enter a uni in the first place, u enter to get good grades, use the unis ressources to network and land an interview, all ur technical knowledge will be self taught from projects or previous internships
No no that is not what I meant. They care about degrees but I think they will also look at experience along with a degree. I am currently working on university-level projects to improve my coding skills. I am not saying the university is trash but I think you don't necessarily have to go to college to learn more about a certain topic.
I am arguing that companies don't care what college you attend as long as you have a degree. They care more about your experience. My dad went to a mid-university in India and here he is now working for a company that is paying him 6 figures. The reason why they are paying him such a high salary is because of his experience and his rating.
