I don't wanna be an echochamber for tariks chat but like goddamn are DFM one of the worst jp teams I've seen. Like they'd probably lose to masters 3 cr from 2021.
It's as if they don't even practice, they're missing the most basic shots and they have a single trash strat.

They won against ZETA brother.
Japanese teams overall is really bad but the more information they have about the enemy, the stronger they are.
they can even won against teams like ZETA because they can study them harder, but at same time they're weak against teams with no info at all, really weak.
ZETA did well before because this fact too.

feel like the main issue with japanese teams at the moment is that they play "japanese valorant" which is to say that they try to play the same strats theyd play against other japanese teams and find it hard to adapt to how emea/na plays due to the fact that its just an entirely differnt style of game that theyre playing against and unfortunately the style that japan plays isnt optimal.
A massive issue is the language barrier but i honestly feel like best way to fix this issue at this point is to outsource a lot of coaching talent from abroad.

in defense let me say this: dfm played in japan vs teams like fnatic and drx. giants have vods to study on how they play. dfm don't really have that, and with the single elim bracket, they have no opportunities to do so at all. not trying to say they didn't play bad, just that there is some justification for it.

yeah, exactly.
they are not good at adapting at all, especially against teams how they at not used to play against
i do not think its issue from coaching staff at all, japan has a really great staffs
but i think they rely too much into info to win against their enemies that makes them too dependent, but at same time there's no way to them to train this since T2 scene here is really weak (aim)
i think in other regions specially in NA when you're T2 player you need to deal a lot with unexpected things, aim diff, etc. so you mature these things before having a really good tactical team to support you

to be fair he's being told to go in over and over again while DFM have zero answer for giant's defense. like all bro can do is go in eat utility and die

what is this copium shit lmfao
he still played scrims multiple times and he also needed to try out for the team to get picked up, stop acting like that was the reason he played bad.

It surely doesn't help lmao imagine you quit playing a game comptitively for a year, comes back when it gets franchise and get sign to tier 1 LOL such a joke honestly these orgs.

I mean, if he played bad in scrims, they would not go for him right? Something has to be off, i belive the jett nerf hit his playstyle hard + i belive he can still return to being decent atleast

Good point, like how is he suppose to entry when his team just doesnt do anything, not even a refrag, how many times he just went into the site, died and his team just standing behind not even trade frag

So your theory might be completely wrong since its premise isnt true.
Also, what do you mean by saying ''they can even won against teams like ZETA''?
whlie there is no team beats Zeta except Northeption?

Trust me, even with a ton of giants vod, dfm won't do shit. Their players ain't gonna cut it to compete on highest level.

someone said that seoldam was picked because he could speak japanese better than other russians players, and also obviously he played better in scrims. in scrims you can play like an idiot and it works, he was also playing against way worse teams

agreed. the amount of times they simply didn't follow him in at all and put their entire attack plan on him getting a kill on site was crazy. giants also did great at splitting them up
