I think they did that cause it's 32 teams, but I hate single-elimination matches.

8 groups of 4 then single elim/double idrc but teams shouldnt play one game and go home

now it looks like a showmatch with the format, it doesnt feel like the results matter

this is possibly THE WORST way they couldve handled this like its ridiculous.
First of all they have all the time in the world so i dont know why theyre pressing themselves so much for time, secondly single elim for the top tier of valorant as a debut tourney is quite literally the one way they can kill off the hype right from the start. It isnt indicative of any of the qualities a team needs in order to be successful in the long term. There are teams like Optic and FNC that have been at the top for so long yet been decently inconsistent, with this kind of format one stumble would kill them immediately.
The entire reason for only having one masters is so that they can have more time throughout the year for matches and tourneys, if this is what theyre gonna be doing with their time then i dont want my team in franchising

youre the one thats brainless for the fact that you think this is even remotely justifiable by the fact that there are 30 teams

you don't get out of your dirty room that's why you think it's easy to make matches between teams

just extra slot for masters for that region i think, but the pointssssss. now let china win since they wont have a slot in masters, or would they?

I would prefer they cramped as much matches in a single day as possible on multiple valorant channels.

single elim is super bad.
