He plays for the Argentinian national team?
It's literally the country's team
That shouldn't be hard to comprehend

Exactly, just like those NBA players also play for their national teams, not the US. That's literally my point, Messi is as Spanish as Luka is American is what I meant

No, I'm saying they are all technically American because they do have double nationality but to the practice they are from where they were born and not American made talents. So the point of the guy that made the thread is not wrong

Omg you're not getting the point. American is everyone with American citizenship, but is not the same if it's your second nationality and you actually feel more identified with another country than if you actually feel American or that's your only nationality

and you actually feel more identified with another country than if you actually feel American or that's your only nationality

But how do yk what the nba players feel? They don't know u vro
Also nationality is more than just a feeling

Wtf do you mean how do I know how they feel. If they felt American they would have chosen it as their fucking national team and not their homecountries??

Again same analogy how do you know Messi feels Argentinan? Well no shit you don't need to be a genius to know

U realize good nba players like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Lebron, Anthony Davis etc. have all played for the United States?

A lot of nba players left the national team because they'd rather focus on their nba careers. Not because they don't identify as American anymore.
