the problem is that yay was so clear of neT in stage 1 that its not even a fair comparison. trent and saya were the only players who could even be in the conversation with yay at the time.

ill agree with oxy = tex just because we have no idea what oxy looks like in officials but he was dominating tier 2 so ill give him that, but realistically tex > oxy

neT > dapr (neT has been DESTROYING in 10 mans on KJ, he's not that great at viper or chamber but he's a monster on KJ)

the thing is TGRD feeds off teamwork, not individual play. it wont matter if all of g2 is individually stronger than TGRD because TGRD is one of the best at teamplay in NA.

is dapr going back to sentinel? if not, this is a wrong comparison. guard was kinda hard because they intermingle a lot with roles I pretty sure I did the best considering dapr's switch from sentinel too initiator a few months ago

also wippie is a smokes god, when his team was good, he was considered top 3 smokes in NA and realistically OXY got picked up for a rzn could be the next zekken while tex got dropped

They had to intermingle roles because of chamber and only chamber pretty much, they could not find the right person to play him. Now that he's not as meta anymore they should be good, I mean they're bringing in a chamber player anyway.

I’m a fan of TGRD and I would call Tex an upgrade. I understand why it might be hard to accept tho. Saya was way too good in stage 1 and stage 2, but he struggled hard when it came down to not playing Jett/chamber

nah he wasn't struggling on chamber, not at LCQ at least. stage 2 was a fuckfest for everyone, he was struggling on chamber a little bit during stage 2, but during LCQ he was the highest rated chamber

I had Guard winning Ascension until I found out that mCe is leaving the team. Coach's role is easy to overlook sometimes but it's literally what defines the structure of the team.
Dumb shits love to say that Xeta leaving C9 destroyed the team but no one realises it was bcoz of their coach autumn leaving.
And on top of that they had a huge downgrade from saya to tex
I don't see Guard getting top 2 in the league

This. mCe coordinated them and their teamwork so well, which was honestly their best part. We'll have to see how good their new coach is, but I doubt they'll adjust to a new style of play even if the new coach is good

It's JoshRT as far as I know and in my humble opinion he is not a good coach. NRG never made it past top 8 in NA even tho they had a good roster
