According to a report released by esports insider Arran “Halo” Brown, Chinese esports organisation FunPlus Phoenix are expected to sign players from the recently disbanded European teams FABRIKEN FABRIKEN Inactive and PartyParrots PartyParrots Inactive .
FunPlus are best known for their surprise championship run at the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.
Players Meddo , ShadoW and Zyppaan and their coach d00mbr0s are the former members of FABRIKEN FABRIKEN Inactive that will allegedly sign with the organisation. Fabriken announced in late July that they were undergoing significant changes after failing to secure a suitable offer from an esports organisation. This was despite their significant success in the European scene, placing first in Rise of Titans and third in the Vitality European Open.
Former PartyParrots PartyParrots Inactive players ANGE1 and Shao will allegedly round out the roster. PartyParrots also disbanded last month due to a lack of sponsorship. They were considered the best CIS roster and one of Europe's top teams.
The rumored move follows FunPlus' struggles to break into the CS:GO scene after a deal to acquire Heroic fell through earlier this year. Following these troubles FunPlus opted to sign the roster of Bad News Bears, a team featuring current Valorant pros mitch, crashies and darp , for the remainder of Flashpoint Season 1.
