Do you think its possible to reach high rank with consistent 1-5% packet loss spikes?
not_smart_user [#3]yeah. but above that is shit. packet loss more tilting than high ping. I played 70-120 ping back when the sg and hk servers have 2 separate server each but packet loss is still worse
Have you actually reached high rank with 1-5% packet losses? I've been stuck in diamond 1 literally for almost a year now I've been thinking maybe packet loss is the problem

Rip i thought the rank reset and asc rank could help every hardstuck like me
acels1 [#6]yes.very possible
I wonder has anyone here did it tho? Idk at this point I might just stop playing comp and just enjoy the esports

nope since my packet loss went away when i was still low rank

people have reached immortal with 60 fps laptop so i think its possible for packet loss

Its quite different dont you think? At 60fps your bullets dont disappear, at higher packet loss sometimes shit just wont register and you lose more gunfights.

not sure, its hard to gauge what 1-5 %packet loss feels like

Idk, really but at like 10% packet loss which Ive had sometimes, the game is a lot less enjoyable. High ping is still playable but packetloss just ruins the fun.
when i play there is 95% chance that i get packet lose close to 15/20% in some rounds it gets up and down , the only thing helps me temporarly reduce my ping and packet loss is resetting my internet and always checking if my ping is stable enough, if u have a adsl router then go to CMD run it as admin, and type : netsh int ipv4 set subinterface “Ethernet” mtu=1400 store=persistent this will set your MTU to 1400 u can test it if u want to see the best mtu for you by typing this line in cmd : ping www.google.com -f -l 1400 or ping www.google.com -f -l 1372 keep expermenting with it change the value
1400 or 1372 or 1300 or 1340 one of them might work fine and hopefully this can work for u
seankuku [#19]packet loss makes you blame your mistakes on packet loss as well
i have 15% packet loss more than him and im still blaming myself
I had packet loss and high ping for almost 2 years and only peaked gold 2 (player every act), now I got low ping with no packet loss and I'm platinum 3. If you're used to no packet loss and you play even 5% packet loss you will have to change your play style a lot. Bullets don't register, you get killed even before you peek or get peeked, you even teleport even if you're not a yoru/omen/chamber. I get outplayed by silvers on 1-5% packet loss but I could go toe to toe with diamonds and ascendants on no packet loss. I would say no, it's "almost" mpossible to get a high rank with packet loss. You would fare better having 120 ping than 70 ping with packet loss.

my dream is to have stable 60 ping XD

in cs joe, nip won a game with "40 % packet loss" as they claimed
seankuku [#19]packet loss makes you blame your mistakes on packet loss as well
If you played with and without packet loss you can easily tell that it's mostly on packet loss, though tilt due to packet loss affects your gameplay as well.

When they removed the 2nd servers of sg and hk the servers went pretty bad

this actually works for the latency, sadly not really help for packetloss
