ORG HISTORY
-Fnatic were founded in 2004, making them one of the oldest active esports organizations in the scene. They began to gain steam in 2008 and 2009 when they acquired their first sponsorships, and have been on the up and up ever since
-Fnatic started in CS 1.6 and source, and would build around Valves FPS title as they would acquire more rosters in different games. Fnatic would later pick up a world of warcraft team, a fairly successful Dota roster, and transition to CSGO in 2012. They also won the first CSGO major
-They would also have success in League of Legends, being one of the game's staple organizations, and winners of the first world championship in 2011. Fnatic would also enter Rainbow 6 Siege in 2018, and VALORANT in early 2021.
-Fnatic have also held rosters in Smite, Clash Royale, Heroes of the Storm, ShootMania storm, PUBGM, and a few other games.
-Although no official numbers have been published, Fnatic's revenue is estimated to be 50 Million dollars for the 2021 season

ROSTER HISTORY
2020
-Fnatic initially started at SUMN FC, a free agent roster featuring some relatively unknown names. The roster at the time was:

-Moe40
-Boaster
-Mistic
-doma
-tsack

-This roster would have some relative success in the early ignition series of Valorant, with some 1st-2nd place finishes across online Tier 2 events that were running ahead of First Strike
-Going into first strike, the squad would make it all the way to the Semi Finals without dropping a map, and winning a tight 2-1 match over FPX to earn their spot in the grand finals
-Unfortunately, they would fall to Team Heretics in the grand finals, but their high placement caught the attention of several organizations, with FNATIC being one of them. In early 2021, ahead of the VCT season, SUMN FC would get signed to Fnatic and compete under their name for the 2021 season
2021
-In the first challengers stage, Fnatic would grind their way through the open qualifier, but would fail to secure a spot for masters in the first two stages. In the final qualifier for Masters 1, which FNATIC had a bye into, they would exit early in the quarterfinals to Ballista.
-In the break between splits, FNATIC would not make any roster changes. However, after an embarrassing Ro16 exit in the Stage 2 open qualifiers, it was clear something needed to change. Moe40 and tsack both left the roster, and were replaced by two fairly unknown players: MAGNUM on the Sentinel role, and Derke as a duelist. The roster would now be:

-mistic
-doma
-derke
-boaster
-MAGNUM

-Immediately, the team would see success. Despite an early fumble to Acend, the team had still qualified for a spot in Challengers Finals, and had their opportunity to be one of the first teams to represent EMEA on an international stage
-Fnatic would tear through OXG, Guild, and Gambit to qualify for Iceland, and would fall in the Grand Finals to liquid, relegating them to a play-in spot at Masters 2
-At masters 2, Fnatic would win their play-in match against KRU before getting knocked into the lower bracket by Sentinels. There they would make a legendary lower bracket run, taking out X10, V1, Liquid, and Nuturn to earn a rematch in the Grand Finals against Sentinels
-Unfortunately, Fnatic would get swept 3-0 in the finals, giving them a second place finish at Masters 2
-Going into the final split of the year, FNATIC would face an early loss from G2, forcing them to play through the second qualifier. In the second qualifier, they would get knocked into the lower bracket by Vodafone Giants, and would lose a tight 2-3 Bo5 lower final against Liquid as their last chance to qualify for playoffs.
-Fnatic would only be able to attend Champions by winning the LCQ or if an EMEA team won Masters 3 (The winner of Masters 3 gets automatic qualification for Champions, which effectively gives the winning region an extra slot). Gambit would win Masters 3, allowing Fnatic to squeak by into Champions
-During the offseason, they would also add an assistant and performance coach to bolster their staff
-At Champions, FNATIC tore through their group, convincingly beating Cloud9 and Vision Strikers to qualify for playoffs, but they would exit early following a loss to KRU, ending their 2021 season in 7th-8th place

2022
-Going into 2022, doma would leave the roster, being replaced by BraveAF, another player that was fairly unknown at the time
-Fnatic would have a 5-0 group stage, beating former World Champions Acend in the process. They would qualify for playoffs, but would lose their next 2 matches to FPX and G2, relegating them to 3rd place (they also got 13-0'd by ANGE1 on Jett)
-Prior to their return to Iceland, unfortunate circumstances plagued Fnatic. Derke tested positive for Covid, rendering him unable to travel, and BraveAF was suspended following a controversey regarding Ukraine.
-Fnatic would play with H1ber and Enzo (then known as Fearoth) as subs, and would exit iceland without winning a single map, following consecutive losses to NIP and Zeta Divison.
-In the next split, FNATIC would make Enzo official, and drop MAGNUM, replacing him with Alfajer, a new duelist/sentinel player that came out of nowhere. The roster was now:

-Boaster
-MIstic
-alfajer
-Derke
-Enzo

-Fnatic would have another 5-0 Group stage, and continue their dominance into playoffs with wins over Guild and FPX, securing a number one seed. At Copenhagen, they would be sent to the lower bracket by PRX, and exit in 4th place to FPX, the eventual winners. Their high placement and strong performance in the group stages earned them a spot at Champions through circuit points
-In their return to Champions with the crowd cheering for them, Fnatic would face an early loss to 100T, but they would fight through the elimination match against Furia and a decider rematch against 100T to qualify for playoffs against all odds
-In playoffs they suffered an early 2-0 loss to XSET, and would send Team Liquid home in order to stay alive. In their next match they would lose a tight match to DRX, exiting the tournament in 5th-6th place.

RUMORED ROSTER MOVES
-Enzo and Mistic have both been allowed to explore other options, making Boaster the only remaining member of the original SUMN FC team
-Leo is rumored to be joining the team, and possibly some players from M3C (I heard Chronicle but I don't recall seeing it confirmed. Correct me on this if im wrong)
