I need advice

Hi everyone, I need some advice because I don't know what to do anymore and maybe someone has already been through this situation and can advise me. My problem is sleeping, at around 10:30 I feel tired, I go to bed at 11, 12 and my head goes to a thousand, I start thinking about a thousand things and I end up sleeping at around 4. I have tried several things, I exercise (1 hour a day), I've set alarms to "force" myself to sleep but nothing... I guess it's because of anxiety. I'm in college and all the final exams are coming up.
Conclusion, I sleep 6 max 7 hours a day and I would like to sleep 8 because I feel tired during the day and I have dark circles under my eyes, I don't want to take sleeping pills because I'm afraid it will become a necessity. Surely you will tell me why don't you go to the doctor? and I'll tell them, you're right xd but like I said, maybe someone has been through this and can give me some advice

Bro He is serious about it and you're a bloody person not caring about some serious mental issues and problems with mental health, if you have no advice, then keep your mouth shut for such sensitive topics, you don't know what the other person is actually going through in life and you're further decreasing his morale and depressing him even more

If you ask me, matiasqnt, first of all , if you haven't told your family and close people, tell them first, and if the problem doesn't get fixed, then consult a doctor(preferably psychiatrist) and yeah. Maybe you can follow these things too:

  1. Don't use mobiles or some other things just before sleeping.
  2. Have a healthy diet
  3. Not heavy exercise, just go to a park or somewhere and get some fresh air
  4. Fix your schedule if messed up

I hope these things shall help you, if they do help, I will be pleased and thus let me know if you want to. This was pretty long but needed

Massive sympathies for your situation but I don’t think asking a valorant forum is the best way to understand your condition.

seems is just stress to me... you are already doing the "good advices", i will say also try to get away from any electronic device (smartphone, pc, tv, etc) 1 hour before you are sleeping

now, in my experience when i was about to finish college drinking and smoking weed really helped me to sleep but this is really bad advice lmao

dont sleep for an entire day for once. Then youll feel sleepy the entire day. Bear with it and sleep at 11pm or 12am whenever you want . Youll be able to sleep immediately and it will improve your sleeping schedule

Best thing would be to talk to your doctor, but whenever i and laying in bed and tryna go to sleep i think of a hot genshin character being my big spoon and that helps me fall asleep easily

Like last night it was yae miko
the night before yesterday it was arataki itto
and the night before that night it was scaramouche

maybe stay off the screens at least for 30 minutes before sleeping, exercise late if possible - there are also certain rutines that can help you fall asleep easier

try utilizing that time, like read books or listen some podcasts!
it might not correct your timing schedule but it saves the time u waste there!
I have same problem so i changed my whole schedule of the day , i study whole night and sleep in morning after exercising, having shower and breakfast!

1:15 min naps help me a shit ton to get that one extra hour of sleep I know I need. It's not something you should force, but you should try it and see if it helps.

taking naps may help.

more importantly, seek professional help. insomnia is fucked and it sounds like u have anxiety. u dont have to tough it out alone.

i had this problem a lot in high school, i would just lie in bed for two hours every night waiting to fall asleep because it felt like i couldn’t shut off my brain. i really envy those people who can just fall asleep during a movie or mid-conversation cause i can’t seem to do that unless i’ve been awake for a super long time. i am generally a very anxious person so it’s probably tied to that, but the only thing i’ve found that helps is something like a difficult lecture video that requires me to concentrate and can exhaust/distract my brain to make me sleepy faster so I don’t just overthink things

do you drink caffeine alot?
it may help you feel awake but it will also increase your anxiety

Feel you bro. Try waking up much earlier, go for a run, stay active throughout the day, don't sit around reading vlr forums, and you'll feel much more tired and sleep better at a more reasonable time. Basically, try to shift your entire sleep schedule. Instead of going to sleep at 4am and sleeping 7 hours and waking up at 11, force yourself to wake up sooner at like 6am or smth, that's the key here.

Try putting the phone down an hour before bed and try reading a book or something active so that your mind isn’t distracted by the internet

I have this problem. It's as bad as yours, though. Essentially though, I force myself to "see" a black screen. And if I wander off, I redirect myself to a black screen

Bro I had the same problem. Try sleeping earlier to give yourself extra time to fall asleep. Also try taking melatonin 1 hour before bedtime. Melatonin is natural unlike sleeping pills. Also try not to eat any foods with high sugar or carbs 3 hours before sleeping.

Personally for me having some white noise like a fan running can help too

No blue light before bed (can use f.lux and/or blue light blocking glasses)
Magnesium bisglycinate
Tryptophan + Inositol
Schedule is very important
If you feel sleepy, go to sleep. Dont power thru it
