[Hot take] optic members will not perform if split

The cohesion and the chemistry they had as a group cannot be replicated with franchising. As orgs are gonna be more demanding and have access to loads of players to replace members with. For example fns fragging ability will be questioned. Since there are other na igls who do well mechanically such as Zander and valyn. Victor had inconsistency as a duelist for a while now. No doubt in my mind orgs won't hesitate to replace some members if they are not performing

Im sure they’ll breeze through the new partnership teams. While being in Optic we know that its their safe haven, they will still bind with their new team mates, and ascent to be champions on their own.

idk about icebox and pearl

yay will be completely fine
fns will still be known for his insane midrounding, maybe getting pushed to just smokes
marved is still a demon even after his slow istanbul
crashies is a great initiator
victor only questionable

im not sure who you mean so
yay: literally just throw him on chamber
fns: as i said, have him play smokes. some orgs might just want an analyst or coach
marved: yes
crashies: maybeeeee not
victor: FUCK NO💀

i get what you mean
i also can predict a lot of teams trying to have him play jett on certain maps like optic tried towards the end of istanbul

they will need to practice a lot with him, get him back used to entry and jett util

Yay, Marved, and Crashies were all amazing before they joined forces and will be amazing afterwards.

I think Victor has slowly lost his grip on the top of t1 and FNS is nearing the end of his career.

crashies is really hurting his chances of getting onto a franchised team by sticking with victor, ik they're friends but orgs definitely want him more than victor

I think an org would take both, I mean Victor performed decently enough this Champions, maybe it was clear that he wasn't the absolute best player in his position like yay is, but in the end his team got to Champs. It's hard to say whether his role of making space and setting up a star player will work if he doesn't have yay as the star player, but he's still shown he's good at his intended role

true, but there are 5 slots open for NA entry players, and there's definitely more than that who are better that Victor. He's obviously not bad, he was a key part of the most consistent roster this year. but he himself wasnt the most consistent and orgs will only want the best. maybe orgs will value his and crashies chemistry enough to pick them both up tho who knows

I think it’s hard to say Victor isn’t at least the 5th best in NA at his role.

We have 5 teams.

Having said that, I do agree with you that it hurts Crashies value. Crashies is ARGUABLY the best in slot for NA. Top 3 without a doubt.

thinking about it more you're probably right, but quick unordered list anyway

Asuna
Zekken
Babybay
Zellsis
Leaf (been a bit underwhelming lately but his ceiling is insane)

Good list.

While I might have a few others to throw on the pile, I don’t think it’s fair to say that most of the names one could think of are “better” than Vic. He stands toe to toe with most of the names people can come up with.

definitely true. plus would be a great storyline for the duo to stick together and find success again
