Events don't matter, financial stability and involvement in the valorant scene matter

Not as strong money wise, other orgs have way more fans and history with RIOT, OPTC no LOL team

Sgares: CC is important to get in franchising
this is why NRG, 100T, and SEN got the spot and one of many factor why optic did not get it

Zero val content creators and no community contributions, they only started getting attention after moving to optic and winning masters.
Teams like C9 NRG have hosted val tournaments, many cc and also good relationship with riot

What about EG? They are being considered and they've done jack shit.

kinda crazy cuz they have a massive following in twitter (3m i think) so i wondered they may have the fan base and infraestucture (riot's criteria)

Comes down to how financially stable the org is and if it’s worth them investing in the long run. Riot wants orgs that will benifit the scene and the game in itself, OPTIC’s only involvement with Valorant has been the roster due to the Envy M&A. This doesn’t mean OPTIC is a shit org, in Riots eyes they just aren’t an Org that will do well franchising and I kind of Agree with them unfortunately. I’m hoping whoever the 5th spot is, whether it’s EG or even NRG, someone needs to pick that whole OPTIC roster up.

Well Sen bough out Shroud and Tarik, pretty sure they didn't need Shaz and Tens not practicing to make it xDDDD

The 3m following is because of CoD and that’s where most of their fanbase is.

If EG makes it, they can legit be a top team in the world, and also in long term they are still a better org for Val community over optic. They seem to have good relationship with riot and enough money, they just need to get those top players

its not that funny tbh. they showed so much commitment to Valorant when they paid 1.25mil for tenz and then getting shroud and tarik too. Also they converted all the clout they had very effectively to viewership on their games and interactions on socials. All of which is directly and indirectly really good for Valorant as a game. So Riot valued that effort.
