Im only in my 2nd year of university, but I knew no one when I first came here as I moved across the country. Try to connect with people in your program/major before hand, like join some discord servers, ig group chats. Thats where most of my friends come from, and also try to connect with people you live with at your dorm. But most of my friends are people that in my program at university but I'm still friends with a lot of my highschool friends even though I live a long ways away.
this might be an unpopular opionion but I think they kind of fluked their way through LCQ, but I think they have the possibility of being an top 5 team in the America league, as they've had lots of time together and have experience. Do I think they are a top team no, but I think they can be a good middle of the pack team. The addition of Cryo also helps a lot, as they have a good op player now.

I used to play Oregon and comp queues time were 5 minutes as a d2 and it would just kick me to Cali servers
Gold 1 to immortal 1 now but I'm washed and used to be immortal 3 a couple acts ago

I'm not good enough to play with top pros but I've played with jerk who used to be on rng and we both bottom fragged and played with a bunch of SR players and c9 jazzy and they all played average. Which makes sense since we're all in the same rank.
vlr is meant to be for only t1-t3 tournaments, while thespike has the lower tier ones
id say most of the t2-t3 players are radiant if they play some ranked, but if they don't then they're at least top 1000 on the regular, or their mmr is around that level.
Reyna is way easier to get kills on imo. Plus it's ranked people play duelists and want to get kills, so they play a character where you can get out and heal yourself.

I have the hp envy x360 but with the i7 11th gen cpu i think. I get average 100 fps on stretched res 4:3 but it drops a lot when you get into fights. Its playable, i was able to play around diamond 1-2 level and I'm immortal on my main with my good pc. so its playable but expect drops especially in chaotic fights.
I really hope they dont add it, it just doesn't work with this type of games. 90% of games are gonna be the first two people locking duelist and someone else locking a 3rd duelist and last person always going smokes. Would just ruin comps and make a lot more people dodge.
