Man I miss strats

I miss the days that the top teams used to have insanely well planned out rounds and played so well towards their strats. This final rn is literally just unbelievable individual performances clashing with each other. I miss M3C v FNC type of gameplay, Masters 1 Optic v DRX, most PRX matches.

I'm not saying these teams have no strats or bad strats. It's just that half the time they're so carried by indiv performance, it seems like a lot of their shit gets shit down by optic (and no it's not cause of optics anti cause the other matches were the same)

On the one hand I like OpTic going for unorthodox plays but it’s kinda alarming it worked that well in the Champions final

I mean to a certain degree yes but it gets so tiring having to go crazy every round..it's like how instant ramen are delicious and full of flavour but sometimes you want soft smooth textures with subtle and complex flavours that aren't overwhelming. It's the same with Val, I just wanna see really well planned out rounds

Yea but what I'm saying is it isn't on the same level as what FNC and M3C used to dish out and it isn't as entertaining and whacky as what prx and drx use. It's just standard and good but at the end of the day their anti doesn't win them rounds, it's the crazy individual performance

I didn't, I said they have strats. Prx plan out a lot of their set plays pre game and its super whacky and over the top. FNC and M3C are completely different but fundamentally they are the same, they have a lot of protocols and strats to use in game.

there was no lack of strats on Bind and Ascent in the upper bracket final, and also on Ascent in this grand finale. Do you think the lurker in gaps created by Optic when they were winning was not strats?
