I generally agree with this take but i want to give another perspective, please say what you guys think
In League of Legends the meta also changes a lot, every year there is different characters being meta, and now that fearless draft is a thing, it emphasizes the need for every player to be able to play a lot of different characters, thats why there are players that are so fucking good in ranked but could never get into competitive because they only play a few champions if not only one.
In valorant there are so many less characters and still people limit themselves to like 3 or 4 and when the meta changes some refuse to change the characters and just crumble. PRX is one of the teams that keeps being at the top and look at them, everyone plays a lot of different characters and whatever the meta needs
I feel like if most players tried to be full flex there would be dynasties, also doesnt help that every time the underdog wins a tournament they disband because they get better offers... that just keeps feeding this cycle
