Recency Bias

Dear VLR users,
You let recent results completely dictate all of your predictions for some odd reason. the fact that i see far more people saying kru will beat FPX than vice versa is absurb. FPX are the world champs and as soon as they lose one game, 2-1, they are worse than KRU. IF FPX and loud lose I will use Sen flair and predict LEV to win the tourney. Yall are fuckin terrible at predictions

you are sleeping on leviatan, their discipline and decision making in game is unmatched, and they faced two of the top teams in the world(aim wise) and didnt drop a map. Imo they can only lose to optic, drx or fpx

Apparently they scrim a lot against XSET, so that might be a hype game if it happens

LEV beat PRX and they are in 5
Drx beat an LCQ team and they are #1

its really not Loud have only ever lost to optic and KRU, besides getting upset by KRU loud have done how you expect them to do realistically and will prob end 5-6 at the lowest, PRX ceiling is higher, but much lower floor whereas loud has a high floor and a ceiling of top 3 probably, maybe even top 2, also PRX have looked shaky and could lose to TL

Most people here are teenagers so it makes sense that recent events have a lot of impact in their lives, hence the bias. That's my theory anyway.

i agree with you, HOWEVER
i think fpx losing to xset shows how little fpx was able to adapt to their playstyle. xset won breeze way too easily.

Valorant is a game heavily defined by metas, and counter play is especially important, isn't like csgo or any sport where a team can dominate for a year or multiple years, the team that is studied the most will always be "the best team". For the last two years we all have seen that all champs or runner ups have heavily fallen, teams like optic or drx, managing to stay at the top(at least the top of their regions) with the same roster for so long is an exception to the rule. Im not saying the underdog will always win, but in Valorant, underdogging is quite common, and being the favorites is especially hard.
