Why fpx lost ?

  1. Bad comps on Pearl and their comps in breeze is not ideal when you're starting in attack.
  2. Overpeeks and over extension in decider map very unusual from fpx , maybe due to the overconfidence after dominant fracture.
  3. Map selection - yes xset is good in haven and icebox but if you know about fpx they like playing these maps too , it's just ridiculous they invited pearl and breeze . Breeze could have been won regardless , if they went with attack heavy comps .
  4. Xset played well

Hope doombros cooks some better counter strats for next game because KRU are a beast in breeze, icebox and now that fpx are not great in pearl it's scary for them to go against KRU who will insta ban fracture . EMEA down bad

its also worth noting that even if you are the best team u will lose at some point, and given the random nature of the game it's completely unreasonable to think that they would just never lose, also ardiis was in the hospital and the team prob had less prep time than they would've liked and it kind of showed

Yeah I didn't mention it because it will be sounding like a excuse. So i tried to give some valid reasons. This is a macro fail and they can and they will fix it . But i feel it's ridiculous to ban both haven and icebox ( fpx are as good as xset in these maps if not better ) i felt like they wanted to try their pearl comps NGL and it costed them big time .

its not really an excuse, at the pro level every player can click heads to an extent and usually what wins a team games is the work they put in beforehand, in this case xset did more and were rewarded. At the end of the day it didn't really cost fpx much tho as it wasn't an elim game if anything it will help them as a reminder that they aren't unbeatable and give them an extra game of practice going into playoffs unless kru go absolutely huge

Low key dasnerth, Tarik, Johnqt, racoone, and shanks would give FPX a good fight if not win

now that you mention it i never realized how weak their map pool is compared to kru

Kru are great on breeze, icebox and decent on ascent.

Fpx is only known for being good on ascent and fracture.

You don't know about fpx clearly

Fracture - best team
Bind - 2nd only to optic
Ascent - best team along with Lev
Haven - good enough to beat xset
Icebox - good enough to beat xset
Breeze - confused because they don't have a solid strat here

Pearl - rubbish with that comp .

I'll make a post of fpx vs kru rematch

Number of xset wins in LAN playoffs = number of braincells left in you .

Yeah, I think xset played the map pick and prepared for the series very well. Also, being #,1 as FPX were/are, it is very difficult because you have every team looking at you and you have so many of your matches on the internet for other teams to review and prep with.

Yes xset are well prepared for Pearl no doubt. But Breeze is more of a fpx failure, they were not great in there , in fact fpx is better on haven and icebox than breeze.
It's just unbelievable that fpx banned icebox and invited breeze.
If xerxia are good to take 10 rounds off xset in icebox fpx can do better. See how easily kru beat xerxia on icebox. Kru and fpx are better in icebox than xset and xerxia .

To be fair, they destroyed XSET on Fracture and this is the first tournament where Pearl is being played + FPX aren't that good at breeze as evidenced by their 3-13 loss to Guild; their last solid victory (not counting PRX since that comp was troll) was against Acend when they were first trying out Yoru.
