No scholarships or financial aid?

How does applying to college from another country work? Cuz we have financial aid which covers a lot of our tuition

USA also has that, but you need a certain income to apply for more.so going to a higher college while your parents have a decent income isn't gonna help much for financial aid

International students dont get financial aid, unless it is for extremely competitive STEM pHD positions, in which case they get stipends. Also in most US universities, international students pay a higher (in some cases twice) the per credit tuition fee - when compared to domestic students.

You don't need to know german to go to a german university, only english is sufficient.

American universities like Harvard, Stanford, and Yale have the name brand that schools in Europe other than the major ones in the UK like Oxford and Cambridge just don't have, even if the educational quality would be similar or maybe even better

lmao the US has easily the best colleges in the world, its not even a competition
only OXford and Cambridge match up to the best in US

Now that is overestimating, only 10% of colleges in us make the top 1000, but only 3% make the top 200. A lot of colleges in the us are pretty no name. For example, Cornell college 💀

To us americans our schools are the cream of the crop but their are incredible schools all across europe and asia and australia lol. The big difference is the prestige of our schools, but considering how much cheaper non us schools are they are ceartainly a viable option

bro ik there are good schools in other countries, don't lump me in with people who don't know about other schools
they are cheaper yes this I agree with too, the university of glascow and zurich are beautiful schools but the fact remains that US colleges as a whole are the best colleges in the world

I know lol, im simply saying that it could be perceived as better to go to a non us school because of cost efficiency

I wouldn't recommend this - unless you have enough money to go back to the country once your education is over. The tuition fee in germany or france might be low but you still have to pay for living expenses. If you wanna make the money back after your education, you need a good job market, and nothing really beats USA when it comes to that.
